Farmer Vows to Continue Fight to Legalize Hemp!

Lexington, Kentucky A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Kentucky growers wanting to gain the right to grow hemp.
The judge ruled that the farmers do not have standing to challenge the law that prohibits growing hemp because they are not being hurt by it. But one of the plaintiffs says an appeal is planned. Kentucky farmers and the 100-member Kentucky Hemp Growers Cooperative Association filed the lawsuit in May. It's part of a national battle to change laws that groups industrial hemp with marijuana as a controlled substance. The farmers contend that 27 other nations can grow hemp for the industrial market. They say U-S farmers should be able to try to produce something that was once Kentucky's major cash crop. http://www.cnn.com/

i have been trying to hard to let people know that kentucky farmers are being hurt. we have the right to grow want we want. this one plant could bring more jobs to this part of teh counrty. why should we not have that oppurtunity as well. they have passed a law in north dakota saying that farmers are allowed to grow and sell industrail hemp. why are these polotitians against industrial hemp? i would like to know. i want the freedom that we once had. this country is founded on cannabis sativa, and i plan to keep it that way!
