Impeach Baudler, Medical Marijuana Backers Say

Iowa -- A state representative who says he lied to obtain a medical marijuana prescription to prove a point against establishing such a program should be impeached for illegal acts, several citizens told lawmakers Wednesday.Rep. Clel Baudler, R-Greenfield, is a former state trooper who says he hates illegal drugs. He wrote in a newsletter to supporters in October that he had gone to California and lied about having hemorrhoids and depression to obtain a prescription to prove "how asinine it would be to legalize 'medical marijuana.' "
"I spent 15 minutes with this 'doctor' and six of those were used attempting to overcome the language barrier between us ... ," Baudler wrote in the newsletter.California law states that a person who fraudulently represents a medical condition to a doctor is subject to a $1,000 fine or six months in jail for a first offense. A message was left with the California attorney general's office seeking comment on whether the action Baudler described could be considered a crime, but it had not been returned as of late Wednesday."I think he should be investigated and impeached," said medical marijuana advocate Mike Pesce of Des Moines. "If you read his e-mail, he wrote while he was sitting in this Statehouse. He planned this crime. We can't have lawmakers sitting in this Statehouse planning crimes."Pesce said he planned to file an ethics complaint with the Iowa House within the next week. Penalties for ethics violations can include suspension or expulsion, by two-thirds vote of the House.Baudler said Wednesday that he highly doubted the person he lied to has a medical degree, and that therefore he did not break California's law. "I'll be glad to answer to the ethics board," he said. Dr. Sriram Mummaneni
An online biography of Mummaneni says he studied at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. We spoke to the manager of the Inglewood Wellness Center yesterday, he is not happy, yes a civil suit is in order. Check todays story FOM and all...http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20110129/NEWS10/101290318/Los-Angeles-officials-not-interested-investigating-BaudlerIt's unlikely that Los Angeles city officials will pursue charges against an Iowa state representative who admitted he lied about having hemorrhoids and depression to obtain a medical marijuana prescription in California, a city councilman said Friday."I'd rather spend our city resources on parks and libraries than investigating some state assembly member that comes from somewhere else trying to make his own political point," said Los Angeles Councilman Bill Rosendahl. "It's not worth the energy on my part."

I wonder if Dr. Mummaneni
has grounds for a lawsuit for slander, or overt racism, or just perjury of some sort against Baudler. Every doctor that might recommend or any dispensary ought to have pictures of Baudler so that they can have him arrested or something... at least turn him out... the next time he goes to pull a stunt like this.

I Saw The Video
They first of all did it again. Took a topic of marijuana and brought in drug legalization. I personally don't have one friend that I have seen in person and talked about this topic that would consider anything but marijuana being legalized. I am talking about some friends being past hard drug users and some that never messed with hard drugs ever. Only marijuana is the answer. Why do they ask damned if you do or damned if you don't questions? That is by far the most progressive answer any President has ever given.http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20029831-503544.html

What an infuriating, vile, lying, nasty, hating, busy body, self righteous old man.

Obama on YouTube!
His response to the drug question was asinine!A 180 degree turn from his pre-election stance?I feel in my gut that he was schooled on the day he was elected, he was sat down and told like this; "Here is a list of deceased people who died in accidents. They went against the prevailing wisdom of the times!"In other words, people who can do him harm made it clear that they would do him [his family] harm if he does not play ball. We are talking about the control of billions in taxpayer and illicit drug profits. How serious do think the parties involve are about that?

While Prohibitionists.........
....worry about doctor recommendations and dispensaries, we have this news, which will probably get little attention.Perhaps our priorities of what we really need to be keeping track of are out of whack?http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/atf-report-reveals-62000-guns-missing-dealer-inventories/story?id=12771760More than 62,000 guns disappeared from U.S. firearm dealers' inventories in the past three years without any record of being sold, according to a report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or ATF.
