Medical Marijuana is Snake Oil Remedy

M.N. -- Most Minnesota government officials want the best possible health and safety measures for their fellow citizens. Legalizing as medicine marijuana cigarettes not approved by the Food and Drug Administration or Minnesota Health Department is not such a measure. What is called “medical marijuana” is a toxic, tar-laden weed used in various forms (cigarettes, bowls, bongs and brownies). Users generally are seeking the “high-producing” chemical, tetrahydrocannabinol — THC — one of the 66 bio-active chemicals (cannabinoids) found only in marijuana.
THC pills have been available by medical prescription for at least 20 years. Do we really need a THC cigarette when a THC pill is legally and medically available? Smoking a weed for medicine is the pharmacological equivalent of eating moldy bread for penicillin or eating poppy seeds for morphine. All contain contaminants, and none in their raw form is approved for safety and efficacy by the FDA. Physicians worldwide — in the United States, England, Holland, and especially Canada — are concerned about their liability, should harm result to their patients. There already has been “medical marijuana” fallout in this country. Several homeowners’ insurance companies in California have paid claims for marijuana plant theft. A user sued Delta Airlines for not being able to smoke at the airport or take his pot on the plane. The California Supreme Court has ruled that employers may fire workers for using physician-recommended marijuana. Legislation legalizing medical marijuana would bypass the eight factors passed by Congress in 1970 that must be considered by the FDA and the Drug Enforcement Agency when scheduling a controlled substance. There is a growing body of scientific evidence, including a 2005 study done in The Netherlands, that shows the use of marijuana leads to increased psychotic symptoms. Numerous studies have linked marijuana use to early-onset schizophrenia.Does the state of Minnesota have a process for approving medicine? If not, might the state (or its doctors) be held liable for harms caused to citizens by non-medically approved, toxic, tar-laden marijuana cigarettes? Who would pay damages to citizens after toxic marijuana cigarettes made some of them sick? Who would pay treatment and/or mental health costs for those who become addicted? Develop psychosis?Would school students be able to smoke their medical pot on school grounds? In California, some have. Is smoking medical marijuana cigarettes covered under the Minnesota Clean Air Act? If so, what are the provisions? How would children and others be protected from secondhand marijuana smoke? Would users be able to drive vehicles after smoking? Does the state of Minnesota have the necessary law enforcement resources to patrol medical marijuana grows and dispensaries? The known and potential hazards are too great. Minnesota citizens want safe and effective medicines, and they look to their public officials to protect them from harmful snake oil remedies.David Taylor of Duluth is a social worker for the school district and served as a chemical health specialist for 20 years in Douglas County and the Duluth Public Schools. " So they build their world in great confusion To force on us the devil's illusion. But the stone that the builder refuse Shall be the head cornerstone, And no matter what game they play, Eh, we got something they could never take away"Amen to that.We are of course in agreement. The understanding however seems to be predominant only in those who have felt the weight of the oppresion, and honestly sought source and solution. Marley was a champion, who like others of our generation was taken out because he spoke the truth.

excerpt: {
All and all you see a-gwan
Is to fight against Rastaman.
So they build their world in great confusion
To force on us the devil's illusion.

But-a we will survive in this world of competition,
'Cause no matter what they do
Natty keep on comin'through,
And no matter what they say-ay-ay-ay,
Natty de deh every day. yeah!
Natty Dread rides again,
Through the mystics of tomorrow,
Natty Dread rides again:
Have no fear, have no sorrow, yeah! All and all you see a-gwan

"GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)" LoLThe 'Living Stones' (the entire chapter) makes some blanket statements that do not have anything to do with the bottom line of true spiritual understanding (in my experiential dialogue with the Most High Great Spirit)-which is 'living love'. However considering the hack-job that the Roman Catholic church did to the Sacred Writings in the name of power and control, lines telling the populace to be "submissive" to their human masters - lines not spoken by Yashua, or taught by Yashua, (that I am aware of) but purported interpretations of the disciples and/or those who transcribed the words- it is a literal miracle that the actual truth got through. Not that I wish to devalue the contributions of such venerable men as Peter (though recent historical evidence reveals that most of the gospels were not actually written by the authors they were ascribed to) but my direct spiritual experience and revelatory connection to YHWH gives me a rod of measure with which to compare claims of the past as well as claims of the more modern philosophies. The Words and deeds of Yashua, for example, ring absolutely true, though there are some variables in semantics, and 'lost-in-translation' -particularly in the doctrinal interpretations of the church -whereas many of the moral conclusions, made by men and attributed to Yashua, are hugely suspect, particularly when they can be used by the church-of-the-establishment to keep personal liberty in check, and maintain the power of the status quo.The 'stone that the builder rejected' is a phrase that has many interpretations, but most doctrine adheres to the belief that it refers to Yashua, when it is actually Yashuas teaching-his message- that is being rejected in the incredibly clever subterfuge of deifying Yashua, and 'establishing' the false belief in the limitations of mans spirituality, by elevating the state of 'christhood' beyond mans corporeal reach.Throughout the history of the past 2,000 years there have been many many good people who have suffered and died at the hands of their masters -not because they were rebellious servants, but because they spoke of their own experiential understanding of the truth, which did not jive with the church doctrine."You will know them by their fruits." The fruit of the 'christian church', and it's doctrinal manipulation of sacred scriptures is an abomination, and a blasphemy before YHWH -strong words I know, and mark that I do not condemn individuals who know not what they do, who believe in all innocence and misplaced faith, Yashua's example of forgiveness and tolerance (for almost everything but false spirituality) demonstrates that in the end stupidity can be forgiven. What is always missed by the so-called 'authority' of such incomplete artifacts such as 'the bible' is the very source of those words -written by fallible humans- that is the people who LIVE the word, and channel that which is referred to by Yashua as THE NEW WINE, and are at times in their lives the embodiment of 'the Living Word' that the church claims exists only within the boudaries of an ancient text edited and compiled by power-corrupt rulers and insidious pontiffs. These people are the 'stones that the builder rejected' just as the teachings of love, forgiveness, harmlessness, and "ye are gods" are given mere lip-service by those who claim to 'possess' these attributes by mere ritual performance of eating crackers and wine (for example). In the beginning there was only one 'commandment' and it is "Thou shalt Love." That wasn't enough for the rulers-you can't buy, sell, or contain it. You can't control it, and just like the fears of the 'us' referred to in Genesis -who obviously DO NOT UNDERSTAND LOVE, if man were to be allowed to pursue his natural destiny of LOVE -through his own will and choices, called "freedom and liberty", their narrow contrived, forcibly imposed false reality would crumble into the nothingness and non-existence it so deserves, and they would no doubt follow it down, being so bereft of mercy, love, and forgiveness there is nothing to be redeemed. When you substitute some words in the translations, meanings change. In studying scriptures, as in all things "be ye as wise as serpents, and as harmless as doves." and "Let the reader use discernment."Thanks for the converse,Peace

Some families are fortunate and have longevity in their genes I believe but many don't. I think people younger then us won't make it as long as we will. We have become a toxic nation and world. At least it wasn't bad when we were young and it only started getting bad when we were grown up and in our mid twenties.

Life expectancy: 77.8 years
That used to look so far away!McCain doesn't look phenomenally healthy or up to it, not that that means much... one way or the other. The Presidency can be hard on a man. I don't know how much more stress the man can take, but I'm betting he could still deal out a lot it.I do know quite a few very old, strong, and healthy people. My sister and I have noticed it and decided that there may be something good in the water around here... or was. Because, horrifically, on the other hand... we have an excessive amount of young people and children in the area stricken with leukemia, it seems... which could also be attributed to "something in the water".

You must be lucky knowing older people who are fine but I haven't seen any in my life so far that could be President for 8 years and be in tune with the whole spectrum of our country. It's like when I was young and they would appoint such an old Pope. They die and the process for appointing a Pope has to start all over again.

I know too many healthy, strong, vibrant seventy year old people to be too worried about the age alone. It's something else I don't like about McCain. I sense it as meanness and conceit, a domineering quality, and arrogance.Altogether summed up into one word... overbearing.

Besides McCains stand against marijuana I find it hard to believe that anyone that is over 70 years old would consider running for President. Most people are worn out by 70 and some have memory problems and others have serious health problems. Why don't they have to retire like we have to retire? There comes a time when we must be wise and pass it on to the younger more in tune generation.

The beginning. Genesis of lies and establishment of rule and power. 'Thou shalt not...'Few understand that the term 'Lord' is a direct translation of the name 'Baal' which was not only the 'name' of one of the origninal primitive gods, but became a term for all the false gods. I believe that the commandment to not worship false 'idols' was orignially termed 'baals.'Baal is the 'god' that Abraham was told to reject by Yahweh. So all those 'Lord' worshippers out there are unknowingly giving their allegience and prayers to an ancient dead statue that only exists in museums. The 'us' part in Genesis is one that seems to be deliberately glossed over as well, I'm glad you pointed that out. Those who want to know the truth should research other scriptures, like the Gnostic texts - the gnostic take on genesis is very interesting. The comparison of the powers-that-be to those ancient 'gods' in the garden who FEARED MAN and his potential GODHOOD is apt and true. Those powers begat the Nephalim, and then the empires. Establishing the rule of 'the superior' over the many innocent and uninformed Admas and Eves who knew happiness in their relationship with the True God in nature, and could have created a world and society that future-worshippers call 'heaven-on-earth.'But instead we get the grand pyramid scheme, kings on the top, slaves on the bottom. I too believe that Cannabis is 'the herb reknown' and the metaphor as the 'tree of life' works well. But what's in a name? A drug, is a drug, is a drug, right?Taking a chemically produced 'pill' is much more american than ingesting organic, and historicly proven safe material into your body - at least to the status quo.The time has come to reject the false teachings of the rulers, and start practicing freedom in other ways than carrying protest signs, marches and slogans. Freedom is not gained through war and conflict, that just brings more war and conflict. The solution is simple but requires great material amd social sacrifice, as well as greater courage than dying in their wars as cannon fodder (that's not courage, that is just plain ignorance and deliberately created and maintained stupidity). Until the root of the false values, false gods, and false authority is collectively aknowleged, and pulled out of our agreed upon reality like the worthless weeds they are, then the scum will continue to rise to the top, evil will rule in the guise of good, and the inevitable destruction of the errors that ignorant men-and-women cling to will be the only hope. The hope to be still standing when the dust clears. The hope to be able to start over without the BS.Is there any hope that the current system will somehow change into something else? Nope. Not one chance. The root of the tree is rotten, can't fix it. Gotta reject the false 'tare' dressed up like the 'sacred tree', and see the one that is denied and hidden by the denial. Gotta change trees.

I understand that most people are raised with certain conservative and religious values and that they have been capret bombed with misinformation and false alliances in the war against marijuana consumers. I don't really blame the people for doing what they think is the right thing to do initially. What I blame the people for is their failure to see that the government is crying wolf. They've being crying wolf for 30 years and the village still comes out, although the crowd is rapidly thinning. When the people get tired of listening to the chronic liars about the big bad wolf (weed?! lol), they will no longer support the outrageous injustice of arresting adult marijuana consumers. 162 million users of marijuana, and their World Wide behavour on average does not rise to the level of a petty nuisance. Playing loud music or not mowing your lawn are more serious offences than smoking a doobie.

These "Experts" don't even know that penicillin was never, ever, made from moldy blood. Ever!It comes from, still comes from, and always has, from mold that grows on water that corn has been steeped in.I see them as caught in the net and snare of their own lies... which they laid for others but are caught up in themselves. This "moldy bread for penicillin" is crap I've seen prohibitionists spew before. Dillmann gave many more reason why he feels the logo "Try Legal Weed" is legitimate, and he questioned why Budweiser can use the slogan "This Bud's for you," when bud, like weed, is a slang term used to refer to marijuana. This is good reasoning, something that comes easily to normal people, however there is no logic, therefore no reasoning in the Fed’s Drug War. You see Budweiser is a really big corp. with lots of paid (off) political support. The Feds will not bothered them. You are right though. When I hear “This Bud’s for you”, I think of a real bud, not can of beer.

I noticed the same thing! You know what, I think the religious right/Republicans see the Upper Midwest as "their" territory. They know they can't win on the West Coast or in the Northeast, so you don't see them fighting much in those states. But whenever med. MJ comes up in IL or MN, they fight hard with the propaganda. What a sad insult to the people of the Midwest - the logic is basically "these people are more ignorant, our lies will work their better than on the coasts". I'd be VERY insulted if I lived there.

I've seen horses die sudden and violent deaths. They thrash and kick wildly. You had best stand back. Why do I mention this here? To me the ONDCP is a dying horse in it's death throws. It is going to thrash and kick wildly until it dies. From what I seen over the years these guy will say/do anything to protect their piece of the federal budget pie.I believe the ONDCP and most law enforcement know the truth but the truth does not serve them. ONDCP Must Be Engaged
Gee, all of these negative articles in Minnesota all of a sudden. I suspect a government agency's involvement. Not only do they enforce the laws, they make them up and force legislators to vote for them too. Do they really think the general population there buys the orchestrated anti-marijuana journalist attack? People are not as easily brainwashed these days, and that really pisses the government off. You know, if they took the resources and personal of ONDCP staff, and gave them the mission of harm reduction and treatment, our serious drug addictions could be averted or aleviated.I still support an educational initiative extolling the benefits of de-electing current legislative encumbents who are out of touch with main stream Society. http://www.mapinc.org/images/brewerycap.jpgBREWERY OWNER APPEALS REJECTION OF 'WEED' BOTTLE CAP If you live in a city named Weed and you produce a legal product, you might assume that it would be legitimate to promote that product with a slogan such as "Try Legal Weed." But that's not the federal government's take on it. Vaune Dillmann, owner and president of Mount Shasta Brewing Co. in Weed, was recently informed by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau that he can't use that slogan on his bottle caps. No stranger to fighting for what he believes are his business rights, Dillmann has appealed that decision, and now he's gaining allies for his cause. "Try Legal Weed: A friend in Weed is a friend indeed" has been the slogan on Dillmann's beer bottle caps for nearly four years. But on Feb. 11, 2008 he was notified by the Advertising, Labeling and Formulation Division of the ATTTB that it was rejecting his application for a Certificate of Label Label Approval ( COLA ) because "The text 'Try Legal Weed' is considered a drug reference which the TTB does not allow." Dillmann filed a formal complaint and challenge claiming "a total infringement of my rights under the First Amendment." He explained in his appeal, among many other things, that Weed is the town's legal name, derived in 1902 from founder Abner Weed, who served two terms in the California State Senate. One of Mount Shasta Brewing Co.'s beer bottle labels which is not in dispute features an image of Abner Weed with the Weed arch that Dillmann helped create in the background. "Beer is an alcoholic beverage," Dillmann wrote to the ATTTB. "It is a drug, yes, but it is a ... LEGAL drug! We are promoting a LEGAL, NOT an ILLEGAL BEER PRODUCT! Beer has been accepted by our society, both before and then after prohibition." Dillmann gave many more reason why he feels the logo "Try Legal Weed" is legitimate, and he questioned why Budweiser can use the slogan "This Bud's for you," when bud, like weed, is a slang term used to refer to marijuana. Wow... what a load...
""What is called “medical marijuana” is a toxic, tar-laden weed used in various forms (cigarettes, bowls, bongs and brownies)."""Toxic"? Wrong... totally wrong... Marijuana is one of the least toxic medically active substances out there.
There is nothing at all toxic about it, you cannot eat or otherwise consume enough Marijuana to cause a lethal reaction. It is impossible."Tar-laden"? Wrong again, there is no tar in Marijuana itself... Only the act of smoking it creates tar (which is simply a scary name for Carcinogens, which are made from burning practically anything.) Plus there is little evidence to suggest this is of any harm to users.
Not to mention there is no tar in the eatable methods for ingesting it."Users generally are seeking the “high-producing” chemical, tetrahydrocannabinol — THC — one of the 66 bio-active chemicals (cannabinoids) found only in marijuana.""
That high-producing chemical is also a valuable medical chemical... And frankly, it's insulting to claim all users are only doing it to get high... Do you think an AIDs patent who's using Marijuana, is doing it because he wants to get high? NO, he's doing it because it helps him continue to eat, which holds off AIDs Wasting. The sick people out there, who use Marijuana, are doing it because it helps them, not because they want to get high.Oh and also, the other cannabinoids in pot, are harmless and even medically useful themselves. This article is a horrible load of BS and misinformation... More prohibitionist garbage to try and scare the masses into supporting another 70 years worth of counterproductive prohibition and waste of money and lives.Legalize it, because prohibition is harmful!

I Don't Believe / I do believe.
I Don't Believe cannabis is "Snake Oil Remedy."But I do believe cannabis prohibitionists are snakes.Similar to the serpent on the 2nd & 3rd page of the Bible.Cannabis prohibitionists are great deceivers / serpents... Cursed more than all cattle. (see Gen 3:14)I know the difference between the snake oil remedy and the snake. It would be glorious for God, The Ecologician to deal with this serpent as swiftly as He did the originial serpent.I would like to be a part of bringing glory to God. It would be a blessing for God to bring this glory to Himself.Keep in mind, The Lord God said We have become like God! (see Gen. 3:22!) Isn't that what the Lord prohibitionists really want to keep away from Us? Becoming like God &&& They don't want Us to stretch out Our hand and take also from the tree of life... (see Gen. 3:22!) and eat, and live forever""" Smoke it??? They don't even want Us to eat it!The serpent of today doesn't want Us to access cannabis. The original serpent, before being cursed more than all the cattle wanted Us to eat.The Lord God that wanted to stop Us was more than one; The Lord God was referred to as, "US" IN Gen. 3:22 along with a few other places. Is it possible that some elite Lord Gods know this truth and don't want it to spread to everyone else,,,,,, JUST LIKE IT SAYS IN THAT GEN. 3:22 PASSAGE????????http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Gen%203;&version=49;In Urantia We learn that it is very difficult to find out who God; the top of the top of all top God, is; what He is called or referred to. It leads One to believe "Lord God" especially in this plural form usage is not God of Gods; the top God.Someone like George Bush, member of the secret Skul n Bones must know this too and realize He is like God but doesn't want anyone else to recieve the same knowledge. Lord God is similar to lucifer in that some of them have betrayed the infinite God.What exactly is God, Lord God and Infinite God and is there a difference? Is it like Sheriff, deputy sheriff etc. Like Dog and deputy dog? Was Lord God, not the same as the INFINITE GOD? And was Lord God like lucifer in the candy store? The cannabis prohibitionist is cursed more than all the cattle.Anyway, between the serpent and the tree of life; I take the tree.
