May 27 - 29, 1999
Source: NORML
The NORML Legal Committee has been hosting exceptional legal seminars for criminal defense attorneys for many years, including the annual Key West seminar each December. We are pleased to return to Aspen this year and look forward to a wonderful springtime Rocky Mountain weekend. The seminar will run from Thursday, May 27, through Saturday, May 29, 1999.
With a distinguished faculty of nationally criminal defense lawyers, this Aspen seminar is an excellent opportunity to earn some valuable continuing legal education credits. You can spend time with colleagues from across the country who share your daily challenges and frustrations, and who continue to fight for justice in a difficult political environment. It's a great place to "recharge your batteries."We've allowed free time for exploring some of the local sites, such as the scenic Maroon Bells or the country charm of Woody Creek Tavern, hiking or biking the mountain trails, or fly fishing on the Roaring Fork River. We've scheduled social event each evening, beginning with an opening reception at the Gant Hotel on Thursday, a party at Chris and Gerry Goldstein's home on Friday, and a private NORML benefit banquet at the Howling Wolf, one of Aspen's hottest clubs, on Saturday. Come Join Us in Aspen. You'll be glad you did.May 27 - 29, 1999For more information, contact NORML at (202) 483-5500 or email norml norml.org.

               Aspen in late May
DdC...Thank you for nice post. It's been a long battle of wits, and cunning, but by god, we're going to have our rights back soon. I'll never quit. I'll never stop getting marijuana to those who need it.My wife and I operate a medical marijuana dispensary here in Oakland California, and we know what we are doing is right and good. Good always prevails. Sometimes it just takes longer than expected. Cheers, Dr. Ganj

Hey Dr Ganja Your a Modern Folk Hero
As are most growers. I'm a cannabis caregiver and can tell you what your doing does help people. Your tale, like other growers I know come from the heart. Not greed, but the Pioneering spirit to grow the best crop no matter the risk or hardship. Truely in other times, an American Patriotism Story. Now they paint us as criminals. I maybe an outlaw, but I ain't a criminal. Thanks for your story. Pleased to meet ya.Thanks FoM, it did make me happy! LOL!Peace not WoDCannabis:Food,Fuel,Fiber,FARMaceuticalsDen de Cannabist

              Rocky Mountain High!
FoM...Thank you. I've always known since I was 14 that growing marijuana was my calling. I have dedicated my life to it, and I have paid the price. However, I wouldn't change seats with anyone. I am proud of what I do, and very soon, I'll be able to share what I do so well, with many people who can benefit from its therapeutic properties. Oh, today I talked with Keith Stroup, director of NORML,and for those of you who noticed the non-member registration fees are 475.00, don't be alarmed. He said for the few non-attorneys attending, we'll only have to pay 100.00 for the three day conference. That my friends, is a bargain, and what better cause to be part of, and what better place to have it! I can already feel the Vapor Caves healing me! Cheers, Dr. Ganj

Aspen Conference
FoM...Glad you liked it. Sure brought back some mighty intense memories. So many court dates, fines, forced work detail, urine tests, you name it. All for growing a multi-beneficial plant! Hey, I should have been given awards for all my efforts. Maybe one day I will, as all my knowledge can't be taken from me. They tried to break me, but couldn't, and as I left jail, I vowed I would continue my botanical endeavours. Stay tuned, it's just getting good.Dr. Ganj
