Dogs used in schools! What's next?
Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Brookfield Dogs will be allowed to sniff school locker areas and parking lots for the scent of marijuana and other illegal drugs under a measure approved Tuesday night by the Elmbrook School Board.
"We have enough tools in the war against drugs," said Schwei, who said the use of dogs would set an "improper tone" of mistrust in the schools. "We don't need this heavy-handed method." It seems that schools aren't what theu used to be anymore!Should dogs be used in schools?

just say nose
> If the dog hit on a smell then there is the PC needed > to do a search. If the school uses dogs to sniff > they won't hit on Pads etc... That girls have. > I think dogs are a good tool for schools to > help keep drugs out.One countermeasure for drug dogs is to give them way too much to smell, false trails, etc. By taking some crappy stuff, powdering it and spreading it all around, your K9 gets confused and "barks up the wrong tree", so to speak. Cheers

Locker Searchs
I believe that the use of dogs in school is a good idea. If the dog hit on a smell then there is the PC needed to do a search. If the school uses dogs to sniff they won't hit on Pads etc... That girls have. I think dogs are a good tool for schools to help keep drugs out.

locker searches
I also believe locker searches are an ivasion of privacy, but some people who may feel their health or life is in danger do have the right to secure their safety. Car searches, however, in my mind are a definate invasion of liberty, not only because damage often occurs, but also because the majority of the time the accused persons are of no fault.

is it right
I think that it is wrong to search a students locker for no reason at all. but if there is a reason for it then it might be ok. but just because they smoke weed doesn't mean they are stupid enough to bring it to school. For example if you are a girl u might be on your period at the time and keep your tampons or pads in their locker and if you go and search their lockers that is an invasion of their privacy. and if your on medication you need someplace to put it. thank you , Star & Je$$ie
