Source: The Chillwack Progress Nine men have been arrested during an RCMP investigation into a large-scale indoor marijuana growing operation in Chilliwack. Part of the ongoing crackdown on Chilliwack drug trafficking, the arrests came Wednesday after police surveillance of a home in the 10200 block of Young Road. Police arrested the men both at the location and after they'd left the residence. Three of the suspects were taken into custody about 2 p.m. after RCMP stopped their vehicle on Main Street.Aren't Medical Marijuana Studies beginning in Canada soon? If so why are they increasing arresting people like they are? You are looking at organized crime peddling MJ, coke,crack,etc. Everything going from Canada to the US. I have no feelings for the "big business" losses that are "suffered" by hells angels or such ilk. I do, however, urge the RCMP to make available the seized Marijuana to those needing it for medical reasons. Cannabis offences in Canada have gone up in recent years. I was wondering, after recent busts of medical mj users in Ontario, whether there is an overall RCMP strategy to charge and shutdown medical mj growers and clubs. There should be an immediate moratorium on mj arrests while any clinical studies are being done. Don't hold your breath! I hope the Medical Marijuana Studies are a forerunner to legalization. The govt. hopefully is just trying to cover its ass before allowing legal medical mj. There have been enough studies already. However, it is hard to be optimistic.p.s. Thanks for voting.
