Medical Marijuana Use Debated!

SAINT PAUL -- A measure that would permit doctors to prescribe marijuana to treat certain diseases is now before the Minnesota legislature.
The bill would legalize the use of marijuana to treat cancer, H-I-V, AIDS, glaucoma, Chron's (krone's) disease and cerebral palsy. But the conservative Minnesota Family Council opposes the plan... saying the medical benefits of marijuana have never been proven.http://dailynews.yahoo.com/

the beginning
This will be very short and too the point. In the beginning, when this land was mostly inhabited by the Indians, (before we the Americans), took away thier land! The Indians used Mariguana as a form of peace which was smoked through thier peace pipes. What do we have now?????? Alcohol???? We the "Americans" including: politicians, doctors, lawyers and any & all who believe they are important "Yahoos" and who are so SMART use ALCOHOL for meetings, social events, and activities etc.... I find this substance . . . is by far more deadly to those who use it as well as, those who DO NOT EVEN USE ALCOHOL. See statics on drunk driving and those it kills every year in comparison too those killed by a mariguana user.ThanksJS

The so called "war on drugs".
A dear friend of mine is about to enter a federal prison for a minimum of 3 long years. One would think that with a sentence like that he must be a danger to society...someone to fear and loath...a real menace to society! Not exactly! some months ago a goon squad arrived at this amputees home and ripped it to shreds...must have been a major drug lord, selling crack or herion to our children. Again, not so! He was hard working, tax paying father and husband. Was he selling drugs? NO Did he have them in his house where there were impressionable teens? NO! As an after thought they seached his business. There they found a couple of mariguana plants, living peacefully under the lamps. Of course the dead root ball were estimated to be worth a lot of money...it would take more than a green thumb to make those things grow. My friend didn't sell his stash, he used it to kill the pain of the amputated limb. My question to the readers here is why do citizens of the United States allow themselves to be bullied by a government that we supposedly control? I'm sure that the politicians in this country have no problem throwing a drink or two back and yet up to 75% of the drug prisoners are incarcerated for mariguana...a drug proven to be no more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. Maybe if they stopped wasting time and resources on harmless stuff they could focus on really nasty stuff like herion and crack!! Sorry to talk your ear off, I just needed to get that off my chest. Legalize Da Herb!!!
I just wanna say that there are so many young teenagers out there that smoke Marijuana, and they live life hiding from everyone because they can't smoke it out in the open!!The way i see it is that us human beings only get to live once, and instead of being the same old boring person living the same old boring lives, they should let people smoke Marijuana and be some one different! Let people do what they want as long as it doesn't affect other people and there lives!! I mean why was drugs brought into this world! So people could get arrested for smoking it and being some one different! I belive that people have a right to live a life which they have control over!!!plz do not judge me wrongly for what i have said!!I am just stating what i think about the world today!!PEACE OUT!!!
