The latest conviction of medical marijuana users Todd McCormick and Peter McWilliams should serve as a wake-up call to all Americans. The federal government has become so insane with power that serves special-interest groups that they jail sick people who are trying to preserve what health they have left.
To coerce guilty pleas, by disallowing a medical defense, in a state where citizens have voted for medical marijuana is fascism. Marijuana is a powerful immune modulator, pain and stress reliever, and appetite stimulant. We, the people, cannot let our federal government deny these scientifically proven facts while they destroy the Constitution and destroy peoples lives. Conviction of Todd McCormick and Peter McWilliams
AS A CANADIAN...I can't help but be cynical whenever I hear the USA national anthem before a baseball or hockey game...."The land of the free, and the home of the brave" One certainly has to wonder which country that line refers to?Maybe it should be "The land of the opressed, and the home of the downtrodden" ? to be more accurate. Here we are, North America headed into the next century and Millenium soon... but we are still in the Dark Ages when it comes to recognizing the rights and needs of the indivuduals sick and desperately crying out for understanding and help. Politics SUCK. If everyone would follow the commandments of Jesus...this world and the issues of the sick and dying would be dealt with more compassionately...rather than based on the political agenda of corrupt governments. I am a medical marijuana user myself, and going through the hassles of getting a marijuana exemption. For years I have been taking Heavy Duty Narcotic prescription medicines...hard on my system/constitution....with little medical benefit...and costly to the federal system....Whereas medical marijuana would be relatively inexpensive...and very effective. I guess, for the feds,Common sense just isn't that common...BB
