This page provides resources for our virtual organization, the American Medical Marijuana Association, conceived and incorporated in cyberspace on 10/26/99.
Our current project is to commemorate the 3-year anniversary of Prop. 215 during the entire month of November 1999. Our newly formed local county chapters will ask their local city and county elected officials to take clearly defined and specific actions to protect the medical rights of seriously ill patients. We will show that this can best be done by implementing the Oakland Guidelines and a photo I.D. system which is independently verified and not available to law enforcement. There's plenty of room for everyone, so feel free to join in. Together we can create a statewide campaign to help local officials understand that sick, disabled and dying patients have become the latest victims in a power struggle over drug policy. With your help, we can make the entire month of November an educational and political experience that will finally allow for the implementation of the Compassionate Use Act.
