IT OUR RESPONABLITY
I BELIEVE ITS OUR RESPONSABILTY TO SECURE OUR SELVES OF THE SYSTEM AND TO MAKE SURE THAT WE DONT ALLOW OURSELVES TO FALL IN THE CRACKS OF THE SOCIETY THAT WE LIVE IN . WE SHOULD EDUCATE EACHOTHER ON THE POINTS THAT ARE IMPORTANT.WE ARE SUPPOSE TO MAKE OURSELVES AWARE BECAUSE THE SYSTEM DOESNT CARE IF YOU KNOW OR NOT .ITS THIER WAY OF PULLING THE SHEETS OVER OUR HEADS IF YOU DONT .THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH WHAT WE ALLOW THEM TO GET AWAY WITH .SO AS A SOCIETY WE MUST FIGHT BACK AND NOT LET OURSELVES BECOME VICTOMS OF THE WORLD WE LIVE IN.

marijuana
i feel smokeing dope should not be illegal. If they would legalize it there would be less confrontation between cops and civilians. marijuana is NOT a deadly drug, and it doesnt make you do completly studip things like most other drugs, you can pretty much control everything you do while being high off of marijuana. So i think they should legalize it because wether it's legal or not people can still get it anytime and they'll still smoke it and at least if they legalize it there'd be less viloince!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You're So Correct!
When I think of what our system wants to do to a person who gets caught using drugs is they want to break their spirit. I saw on TV a few months ago on CNN a Doctor saying we need to keep people away from drugs and since they aren't listening we need to put fear of jail in their minds. Fear by drug testing! That turned my stomach and I won't ever forget it. It's the continuous erosion of our private lives that will be what brings down this country. You can't expect people to be happy when they can't even smoke a little pot and just smile a little. Sad, sad state of affairs we are all in and thru no fault of our own!

A fatality of the "war on drugs"
It's bad enough when drugs kill (overdoses), but it is even worse when the war causes even more deaths, such as this one.....I imagine that this person wouldn't have died at that moment if it wasn't for the war.....I'm not a big fan of hard drugs, but I don't think that this is the way to fix it.....pushing people to make these kinds of choices....I think that there are probably alot more victims of this war than we can imagine, what of the sucides that are because of the total destruction of people's lives, those people are drug war fatalities too....alot of this happens and we never even hear the true reasons, just that someone committed sucide, not that the person has been pushed beyond repair completely to dispair.....Of course this makes the government happy, this is much easier than taking away a persons right to vote and completely shuts them up...It is pretty bad when a person feels the need to try to jump from a 4 story high window to try to escape prosecution, no matter what kind of drug it was, right now in this country you can spend the rest of your life in prison over cannabis, as easy as you can any other drug...

nothing to do with cannabis
Yes, I agree with you that it has nothing to do with Marijuana. I don't believe a person getting caught smoking pot would jump out a window thats up so high that it could cause death. It just shows me that the drug war is a failure and we need to rethink how we are approaching this issue. I don't believe in using hard drugs but I wouldn't want anyone to go to jail for experimenting with them.

"Suspect dies after jumping" has nothing to do with cannabis although it certainly illustrates one of the many dangerous externalities of prohibition.
