USA -- A record share of Americans want to see marijuana legalized in the United States, according to a Gallup survey on Monday. The new poll showed that 68% of respondents favored making the substance legal, the highest mark Gallup has ever recorded on the issue. Last year, 66% favored legalizing pot.Arizona, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota approved the use of recreational marijuana in ballot measures on last week's election. Eleven other states have previously voted to do the same.
Thirty-five states have passed laws legalizing marijuana for medical use, including Mississippi and South Dakota this month.Monday's figure punctuates rising support nationwide for legalizing pot that began about 35 years ago. Gallup found that support hovered at 12% in the early 1970s and reached 28% in 1977 before support fell to 23% in 1985. It has slowly climbed ever since, with a majority (58%) supporting legalization for the first time in 2013."Majorities of most demographic subgroups of Americans support legalizing marijuana, including by gender, age, education and household income," Gallup wrote. "Yet there is considerable variation in the extent of support within each group, as men, younger adults, college graduates and those in households with incomes of at least $100,000 are more likely than their counterparts to favor legalization."While most U.S. adults have warmed to marijuana legalization, many Republican, conservatives and regular churchgoers have not.Politically, 83% of Democrats, 72% of independents and 48% of Republicans said they support legalization. Forty-nine percent of conservatives said it should be legal, compared to 87% of liberals and 74% of moderates, Gallup said. Among regular churchgoers, 48% said they support legalization.Gallup polled more than 1,000 U.S. adults nationwide for the survey, which has a margin of error of 4 points.Source: United Press International (Wire)Author: Clyde Hughes Published: November 9, 2020Copyright: 2020 United Press InternationalWebsite: http://www.upi.com/ Contact: http://www.upi.com/about/contact.cfmCannabisNews -- Cannabis Archiveshttp://cannabisnews.com/news/list/cannabis.shtml

Re: that poll,
One of the sad things to take away from that poll is one group in particular.Regular church goers.Failed clergy is responsible for churning out regular church goers who somehow have been swindled into supporting laws to cage humans for using what God indicates He created and said is good on literally the very 1st page of the Bible.Cannabis prohibition, persecution and extermination is the devil law.It separates people from the possibility of receiving the "spirit of truth."We receive the "spirit of truth (see John 14-16 & 1st John) by loving one another. -You can not love someone and cage them for using what God says is good, AT THE SAME TIME.For those who wish to follow the life and teachings of the Christ Jesus, GET OUT OF THOSE CHURCHES and start doing that. It's a litmus test issue.Failed clergy through the support of sATAN is causing people to stumble starting on the very 1st page.Think about it. If the devil wants a BLANKET SEPERATION to separate the most people from receiving the "spirit of truth", where would satan (failed clergy) start????Not on page 300, or the middle of the New or the middle of the Bible. Satan would make a BLANKET SEPERATION, separating the most people starting FROM THE BEGINNING!!!!!!
!!!!
!!!!!
Satan will attempt to separate other people later but the most damage is done separating a huge amount of people right there. Why does that matter? We are here, at the transfer station (If I may), for the purpose of receiving the "spirit of truth". IT'S WHY WE'RE HERE, For God's Sake! It's the only thing You can take with You.When You leave, YOU BETTER HAVE IT.To receive it, We are requested to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. In that area of the Bible: the only place where the "spirit of truth" (NASB) is written about, We learn that with the "spirit of truth" God will teach Us all things. We also learn GOD IS THE FRIEND OF THOSE WHO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.There is the "Christian" concept of Christians having eternal life.I believe there is more than one kind of eternal life. There are Christians who do not love one another. Those Christians may have a different eternal life, than Christians WHO DO LOVE ONE ANOTHER.Christians who are not a friend of God's.So, Satan has caused so many to stumble starting on the very 1st page:Then what?We see, what then. They are already stumblingand by time they get to page 2, where the lessons of do not kill and do not murder begin,They are already lost. And so further, We witness Christians supporting war, killing etc.Cannabis prohibition is the original living sin.-0-Pray for Our Father, through the Christ Jesus to forgive You for Your sins.
Thank Him
&
Ask Him to show You the truth as He wishes for You to know it, to show You so clearly, that You will be able to tell other people still.
Tell Him You will share that Truth.
&
then share it.I KNOW, WHEN YOU SHARE THE MORE YOU SHARE, THE MORE YOU RECEIVE.-0-I have just showed You how to check what I've just said. The Green Collar Worker
