Paul Stanford Source: CRRH http://www.crrh.org/ CRRH is happy to announce that a new video, Medical Marijuana vs. Democracy, about California medical marijuana refugee, Renee Boje, is now available on the web. The 15 minute web video stream automatically maximizes the viewers' signal, depending upon their bandwidth, for 28K, 57K and 112K connections from: http://www.crrh.org/hemptv/docs_mmjvd.htmlRenee Boje is a medical marijuana activist who was arrested with Todd McCormick and Peter McWilliams in Los Angeles, California, USA, in July 1997. Renee was initially released with no charges and fled to Canada. She has subsequently been charged with conspiracy to cultivate cannabis by the US federal government and faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison. The US federal government is seeking Renee Boje's extradition from Canada back to the US. She is seeking political asylum in British Columbia, Canada. It is generally agreed that Boje is being persecuted to force her to testify against Todd McCormick. McCormick, a cancer victim, cultivated several thousand cannabis plants to breed different varieties for medical use and was bailed out of the Los Angeles County Jail by actor Woody Harelson. Harelson posted $500,000 bail for McCormick. Peter McWilliams, a best-selling author, publisher and medical marijuana patient, is also a defendant in Renee Boje's case. Boje's refugee claim is made based upon the US federal government's effort to nullify California's Prop 215 on medical cannabis, the US criminal justice systems barbaric penalties for growing cannabis and the inhumane treatment of women in prisons in the US. 'Medical Marijuana vs. Democracy' features Renee Boje, Dennis Peron, Chris Clay, Boje's attorney, John Conroy and cancer patient, Betty Anne Doucette. It chronicles the passage of California's Prop 215 in Nov. 1996 until Renee's June 10, 1999 application for refugee status from the US Drug War to the Canadian government in BC. The program begins with a harvest of Canadian medical marijuana and features election 1996 footage in the San Francisco Cannabis Buyers Club. The show was produced by Corky Productions of Vancouver, BC.Boje is seeking financial assistance to help defray her legal bill in fighting extradition. questions about lompoc
My husband is being moved to Lompoc in the near future to serve a year and a half on a marijuana charge. He was arrested in washington coming from BC. I have been trying to find any info possible about programs and the general atmosphere at lompoc, but am not having much luck. If you could give me any info about this facility it would be much appreciated by myself and my husband. Thank you.
Peace and Love,
Hailyn

Todd McCormick's Supreme Court case and case numbe
My brother, who just served a 15-month sentence at Lompoc Federal Prison Camp in California, needs the case number of Todd McCormick's U.S. Supreme Court case pursuant to pleading before a San Diego U.S. Federal District Court Judge for permission to smoke medical marijuana now rather than wait for the High Court's ruling in June. He is currently under a two-year supervised release. He was convicted and sentenced for bringing in 74 pounds of medical marijuana from Mexico three years ago.
