WASHINGTONA U.S. District Court judge on Friday ruled that the District of Colombia has the right to count votes from a referendum held last November on whether to legalize marijuana for medical uses.
But the ruling by Judge Richard Roberts was moot, coming a day after the Senate approved a new D.C. budget allowing the vote tally. Vote counting for the referendum, held last November, had been blocked by Rep. Bob Barr, R-Ga., in last year's budget. The Senate this year voted to allow the city to determine the results, but also prohibited use of the drug regardless of the outcome. comments newsdigital.com7.50 p.m. ET (2355 GMT) September 17, 1999Capital's Budget Heads To Clinton - 9/16/99http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread2909.shtml

You're Right Rainbow
Yes Barr is something else. He fights against a woman's right to have an abortion while he paid for his wife to have one and drove her to the hospital too!

Barr is not clean
I saw an article where the righteous Barr was fined $28,000 for accepting illegal campaign contributions. That was for donors giving him 1000 or more.He is quite the case.Rainbow
