Indulge with Confidence, Says Willie Nelson

USA -- Country music icon Willie Nelson, long an advocate of marijuana legalization, is putting his money where his mouth (and joint) is by launching Willie’s Reserve, a new marijuana brand to be introduced in Washington and Colorado over the next few months. The writer of such classics as “Crazy,” “Always On My Mind” and “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die” is following the lead of rappers including Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg and Freddie Gibbs, all of whom have entered the weed game with personalized strains.
I’ve smoked enough and I want to give back." — Willie NelsonNelson, however, is taking the idea further; his brand won’t be restricted to a particular varietal. Rather, the Reserve brand will offer a number of different strains.“I’ve smoked enough and I want to give back,” said Nelson in a press release. Country music’s most outspoken stoner promises a premium cannabis brand that’s “top-grade, meticulously grown and beautifully packaged.” To ensure a quality product, he’s consulted with horticulturalists and cannabis farmers so that, in the wording of the release, “consumers will be able to indulge with confidence, savoring each puff while knowing they're partaking in an age-old ritual that has bonded marijuana-lovers together since the first dried leaves were touched with flame.” (Whoa.)The announcement comes as California heads toward a November election that includes a ballot measure that would legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Currently the state requires a doctor’s evaluation and prescription before a resident can purchase marijuana products. After rolling out the brand in Colorado and Washington, Nelson’s company plans on expanding as states legalize recreational use of the drug. Except it’s not a drug, said Nelson. “I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower.” (Whoa.)Source: Los Angeles Times (CA)Author: Randall RobertsPublished: July 21, 2016Copyright: 2016 Los Angeles TimesContact: letters latimes.comWebsite: http://www.latimes.com/URL: http://drugsense.org/url/0TqMcI6pCannabisNews -- Cannabis Archiveshttp://cannabisnews.com/news/list/cannabis.shtml

I agree about writing-in Bernie. However, some states require a potential write-in candidate to register as a write-in. Otherwise, the write-in votes will not be counted by the state election officials.Perhaps, Bernie's loyal supporters could register him as a write-in in such states.Either way, counted or not, it's a protest against a corrupt voting system and two unsuitable candidates.ego destruction or ego transcendence, that is the question.

MikEEEEE #2 Correct!
Now that all of Sanders' supporters see that the fix was in all along, I am wondering "Why should I vote at all?" If the only answer is "Fear of Trump", then I'll just write in Bernie Sanders and walk away. Let it all collapse. I don't work from a position of constant fear, I refuse to respond to that political strategy. Let others rouse the rabble to meet the Great Threat, like in the novel, "1984". The "Threat" is self-created in order to control populations with fear. The only real "Political Capital" left is blackmail! Let's examine a REAL CASE of "blackmail in American politics" a little closer, from the Elkhorn Manifesto:"On February 27, 1942," according to Higham, "Arnold, with documents stuffed under his arms, . . . strode into the lion's den of Standard at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Just behind him were Secretary of the Navy Franklin Knox and Secretary of the Army Henry L. Stimson." They confronted Standard official William Farish and "Arnold sharply laid down his charges" that "by continuing to favor Hitler in rubber deal and patent arrangements," Standard Oil "had acted against the interests of the American government . . . suggested a fine of $1.5 million and a consent decree whereby Standard would turn over for the duration all the patents" in question. "Farish rejected the proposal on the spot. He pointed out that Standard" was also selling the U.S. a "high percentage" of the fuel being used by the Army, Navy, and Air Force "making it possible for America to win the war. Where would America be without it?"Blackmail? Yes, says Higham. And effective. Arnold was finally reduced to asking the oil company official "to what Standard Oil would agree. After all, there had to be at least token punishment. . . . Arnold, Stimson, and Knox soon realized they had no power to compare with that of Standard." The price Standard Oil "agreed" to pay for its crime? A modest fine of a few thousand dollars divided up among ten defendants. "Farish paid $1,000, or a quarter of one week's salary, for having betrayed America." Once you realize that you have been deliberately lied to, you change your "internal locks" to prevent further damage. Bernie Sanders won my vote with his vision of change.
He is the only one running with the integrity to be President of ALL the people, as Hillary's collusion with the DNC to exclude Sanders proves.Bernie Sanders for President! The only candidate not facing impeachment going in!

Clinton gave the progressives the middle finger with her choice for VP (see link). I've always said she was for Wall Street. Berny should run as an independent.
