Officials To Crack Down on Marijuana Dispensaries

Oregon -- Federal and state law enforcement officials put the owners of medical marijuana dispensaries on notice today, warning them that selling marijuana for any purpose, including medical use, was against both federal and state law.“Are we supposed to believe that people go to places like “Wake N Bake” to get medicine?” said U.S. Attorney, Dwight C. Holton. “‪Oregonians, who adopted a medical ‬marijuana‪ law in good faith, deserve an answer‬—‪are these places where people go to get medicine, or are these just drug dealers hiding behind the ‬m‪edical ‬m‪arijuana law?‬”
Holton issued a joint statement today along with 33 Oregon district attorneys, Clatsop County Sheriff Tom Bergin, president of the Oregon State Sheriff‟s Association; and Newport Police Chief Mark Miranda, president of the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police. The officials also warned people who knowingly financed a marijuana dispensary or allowed one “to operate on your property also violates federal law and could subject financiers and landlords to civil and criminal penalties–including forfeiture of any assets used in support of the criminal enterprise.”The statement came out the day after U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said the U.S. Department of Justice would soon clarify its position on medical marijuana.“We’re going to bring clarity so that people understand what this policy means and how this policy will be implemented,” Holder said in statement during a visit to Rhode Island where two men with state-issued marijuana licenses were arrested on drug charges. Holton said numerous dispensaries in the state are openly selling marijuana, going so far as to offer coupons for free or discounted pot, despite the defeat last November of ballot Measure No. 74.“Oregon and Federal law make it illegal to sell marijuana–period, end of story,” Holton said.Madeline Martinez, sole proprietor of the Cannabis Cafe in North Portland, said her business is merely a cafe where licensed medical marijuana users can meet, smoke a joint or use a vaporizer, but where no marijuana is sold. “There are no dispensaries in Oregon, but I realize that we are within a realm that may not be legal,’’ she said. Stealing copper...
It's always been a problem, in Texas anyway. They risk their lives when they do it and I don't see how the places that buy it can't tell when it's stolen.

Sign of The Times
We had an interesting day. We lost power for a number of hours. The reason is someone broke into a sub station and stole the copper. They had to shut down about everyone to fix the problem. I can't imagine copper is worth enough for someone to risk stealing it. It is sad to me. I hope I didn't miss any good news.

'Seed-to-sale' surveillanceIf the feds have their way:instead of cannabis being free like lettuce and tomatoes, lettuce and tomatoes will be in chains like cannabis! This process is already in the works in various federal bills and amendments & in the international treaty-making of CODEX (cheer-led and bullied by the US representatives).WeTheGovernment must not allow tomatoes to be free: Homer Simpson could create tomacco (cross between tomato and tobacco) and addict little Johnny and Suzy. Oh, wait, Homer already did that *in cartoon*!!! WeTheGovernment must track all lettuce so that when it gets contaminated by agricultural runoff from factory pig farms, we can close down those offending lettuce farmers. Unfortunately, this is not a cartoon. :(

when the cops run the state
is it safe to say it's a 'Police State?'Who 'voted' for them? I don't remember them being on any ballot in Oregon, except trying to tax us for more funding than they already receive from their federal lords -which the citizens always overwhelmingly do not vote for-?

Over, Over & Over Again
“”Holton issued a joint statement today along with 33 Oregon district attorneys, Clatsop County Sheriff Tom Bergin, president of the Oregon State Sheriff‟s Association; and Newport Police Chief Mark Miranda, president of the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police.””Imagine that. A statement like this coming from this gaggling group…Vested interest in the status quo…conflict of interest…protecting their carrier/paychecks off the very ones who pay their salaries…This song and dance is so old…It’s worse than Disco music and that ‘Disco Duck’It’s past time to end this madness…

Let them prosecute
Once the jury is seated and hears the case, all someone needs to do is have the guts to vote for jury nullification. After a handful of nullifications and the realizations sink in that We the People are SICK and TIRED of the WoD and they will NOT get verdicts regarding a flowering weed...........
