I've been working on more computer enhanced photographic art of our legal medicinal marijuana garden. I'm an I artist , photographer, & webmaster in California, and have created some absolutely beautiful art from last year's garden. I'd love for you to see it. There's free downloadable stuff, too. My name is Jean Hanamoto.
I'm an activist, artist, wife and a caregiver to my wonderful husband, George. George has Glaucoma, and Marijuana is saving his sight, along with doing wonders for his blood pressure, and helping greatly with his arthritus pain. We belong to a group called WAMM (Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana), that supports about 250 people with cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, MS, Epilepsy - free of cost - from our own organic garden. We all contribute what we're able to the growing, cleaning, and packaging of our medicine, and patients (all with certified doctor's recommendations) are given a set set amount each week. There's also a lot of love and caring going on here. It's NOT a buyer's club, it's a co-op. We'd like to have the group used as a templet for how to run a compationate medical marijuana organization.I've just made some new, beautiful logos representingWAMM in Santa Cruz, CA. Finally, a woman's point of view of cannabis - the beautiful, useful, naturally medicinal plant! The logos use marijuana leaves in two designs. One is for the organization itself, and one is to honor gay members who use marijuana to combat the wasting from AIDS, and for Gay & Marijuana Pride in the year 1999.I'm gearing up to do much more of my computer enhanced photography right now, including doing some more work with the WAMM garden pictures,http://www.garlic.com/~artworks/marijuana_art/ plus George and I are making beautiful buttons, magnets and lighter labels to raise $$$ for WAMM. The tee shirts sold like hotcakes at the Santa Cruz Pride Festival on June 6th.San Francisco Pride Day, on the 27th, was HUGE.We'll be at Reno Pride, too, Aug 21 - 22! Thanks for your time and interest!Sincerely,Jean HanamotoArtworks Frame & Gallery60 E. Marijuana as Art: The Newest Collection!
Marijuana as Art - Newest Collection!Jean Hanamoto's computer-enhanced photographs of one of the only legal medicinal marijuana gardens in California offers a surprising variety of vivid close-ups and lush vistas. "Cannabis is a graceful and beautiful hero", said Hanamoto, "In all its different stages - leaf, bud and harvest - it is a joy to the artist, and humanitarian, in me". The images appear to be created in many different media, such as watercolor, oil, pencil and pen, but they all started as her original photographs of the 1998 WAMM garden. "I'm so lucky to be able to see the garden in all its glory!
