Friendly Reminder: NORMLcast
A note to remind you all of tonights broadcast. Maybe they will have Montel Williams on the show. That would be great since the news is censoring anything about what he said yesterday.

The Worst Thing About Howard Dean
If Howard Dean were not in the race all of the anti-war energy and money and internet organizing that propelled him to front runner status would have been channelled to Dennis Kucinich.Micheal Moore's new book Dude, Where's my Country? has a chapter about a progressive paradise where the people want universal health care, unions, and living wages and clean air, water and safe food and medical marijuana. That place is the United States. In poll after poll the American people are shown to be in sync with Dennis. The only problem is the elite right is really good at fooling people with Religion + the straw man argument that attaches evil connotations to the word liberal. And that my friends is why the Rushes and the Hannity's and the O'Reilly's of the world are so loud, angry and paranoid. They know the truth, they are a small, loud and extremely powerful minority. And If We The People can only organize they will die. I think a time that would be better would be 8 PM ET at least for me. My husband gets tired early and gets up early so he didn't get to see it. I know that I have had better luck with The Media Player as far as liking it and not locking up my computer but my computer is old so I don't know how newer computers work on the different formats.

Read this NORML...
This NORMLcast is a great idea but I hope the people at NORML read this post. The time slot decided is terrible anyone who works 3rd shift will miss out, anyone who works 2nd shift will miss out, and anyone who doesn't have bankers hours on 1st shift will miss out also if the are going to get a good nights sleep. I wish they also would consider using another formatte than Realplayer's .ram files, as someone mention in an earlier post that they would not download real player many of my friends won't download it either. The best formatte I have seen so far thanks to Loretta Nail and the Alabama MJ Party is .wmv which plays with windows media player whats really cool is that you can find a copy of the file after you watch or listen to it in your temp internet folder and then you can cut and paste it to another folder to save it. Then you can do whatever you like with it burn it to a disk or email it to friends for example. I left a link to some videos on their website which you can check out and compare to .ram files.

Another Comment About The Show
I was just thinking about the NORMLcast last night and Allen St. Pierre said something I really appreciated. There was a question about drugs and about what was important to NORML. He said they helped start the DPA years ago but their concern is marijuana. That's how I feel. Drugs are drugs but Cannabis is an herb. Keeping them separate is something we should think about not because drug laws aren't important but reforming the laws around Cannabis is possible as long as we don't allow interviewers to attach hard drug issues to the Cannabis issue. Just my 2 cents again.

Nuevo Mexican and Everyone
I'm getting ready to call it a day but I wanted to let you know that I am proud of all of you caring about Dennis Kucinich like you do. I really am not politically minded and think about laws and Cannabis issues but I know how important it is for almost everyone here on CNews. Tomorrow my sister is having experimental surgery in Maryland. She is many years older then me and has 8 adult children that need her. At least 3 of her children have Muscular Dystrophy. If I am slow with the news tomorrow it would be because of phone calls and family issues. This is an NIH funded experiment if I can call it that.

Kucinich will speak out soon on Cannabis!
As he seems to be waiting for the 'perfect' time. And isn't it curious the other candidates haven't taken the time to be interviewed by Cannabis News readers Second most popular site, (it seems), Buzzflash.com! (The name goes great with Cannabis News too!) Bush is a BuzzKILL! So even though Buzzflash isn't endorsing any candidates (yet), they may be forced to by the fact that their neutrality on the Democratic Candidates isn't paying any dividends. The voice of Buzzflash is virtually ignored by ALL but ONE of the Candidates, (I suspect someone from the Dean Campaign will read this, we'll know tomorrow). Why give the 'too busy for Buzzflash' candidates the 'benefit of the doubt' when they think 100,000 readers daily is insignificant for an interview!Oh, that's right, they're too busy campaigning for President to campaign for president. I don't buy it, but it is telling! If I were Buzzflash, I would do as C-News has, and put his website on their front page now, then the other candidates would stop taking such an important website for 'granted'.And 'grant' an interview. Then we can compare candidates through the eyes of Buzzflash and not the corporate media.Marc Emery and FOM got it right, how about the rest of you website moderators reading this, Post a link to the Dennis Kucinich (Croatian for 'being lifted up by a wave') website and help Dennis make it possible for us to take our country back? The parties of tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum are threatening another four years of Daily BuzzKills, likely lasting the rest of our lives, and it is soooo easy to vote and change things! Let's go!Astrology and Dennis Kucinich, the Peace Candidate. This is from a great Astrology magazine, the Mountain Astrologer, as is directed towards astrology buffs, not the average person, so ignore the 'astrologese' aspect of the article, you'll still be able to decipher the gist of what the author is saying. Just a sample of how deep and wide the support for Dennis is in such misunderstood areas of life such as cannabis and the stars, (spirit and nature, the enemies of greed and jealousy).http://www.mountainastrologer.com/planettracks/tracks.htmlIf you need more reasons besides the end of cannabis prohibiton and the caging of sick and dying patients, then look no further! Kaptinemos been trying to tell us:Read how Father John Dear woke up to the military outside his church chanting “Kill! Kill! Kill!” and “Swing your guns from left to right; we can kill those guys all night.” Soldiers at my door, by Father John DearI live in a tiny, remote, impoverished, three block long town in the desert of northeastern New Mexico. Everyone in town--and the whole state--knows that I am against the occupation of Iraq, that I have called for the closing of Los Alamos, and that as a priest, I have been preaching, like the Pope, against the bombing of Baghdad. Last week, it was announced that the local National Guard unit for northeastern New Mexico, based in the nearby Armory, was being deployed to Iraq early next year. I was not surprised when yellow ribbons immediately sprang up after the press conference. But I was surprised the following morning to hear 75 soldiers singing, shouting and screaming as they jogged down Main Street, passed our St. Joseph’s church, back and forth around town for an hour. It was 6 a.m., and they woke me up with their war slogans, chants like “Kill! Kill! Kill!” and “Swing your guns from left to right; we can kill those guys all night.” http://www.commondreams.org/views03/1129-07.htm

Kucinich interview with Buzzflash.com
http://www.buzzflash.com/interviews/04/01/int04002.html Here is his answer to the last question- You know it's easy to call for unity. It's hard to achieve it if you have candidates who want to keep us in Iraq, who want to maintain a for-profit healthcare system, and who are going to continue on this path of corporate globalization. We could all celebrate party unity but it's going to be hard to mobilize people if this Democratic Party ends up being a pathetic mimicry of the Republican Party.

Some constuctive suggestions for Glen Klein
1. Get some kind of background screen that looks nice and hides the tech guy running around in the back behind you.2. Get a better headset so that you don't look like that magic money in the Indian legends I saw in cartoons when I was little.3. Avoid positioning yourself relative to the microphone in a way that looks like the two of you have moved past the dating stage into something way more serious.Other than that, great show!

Yesterday, the very prohibitionist Alaskan Lt. Governor, Loren Leman, had the unpleasant duty of certifying the 28,783 petition signatures required to place an initiative on the November 2 ballot that will legalize cannabis for adults in Alaska.I think that this initiative has an excellent chance of passing, but the prohibitionists will tell any lie to defeat it.

Support Kucinich as much as you can NOW
Kucinich will be able to use the support he gets now to influence what happens on the convention floor later. The national convention is where the official party platform gets hammered out. What Dean says he supports now will not be what he stands for after the convention. If he wins the nomination, he's going to have to run on the party platform, not his own.So it really does mean something for later to support Kucinich now.The more support he has now, the more our interests will be represented in the convention.

Does NORML have a reaction to Whoopi?
I thougth Whoopi was funny and in general enjoyed it.But it bothered me that they resorted to the old gag of having an unsuspecting nonuser scarf on a huge load of medicated baked goods and get really really really really stoned without knowing it.In reality, something like that could cause enormous distress to the person that might lead to a panic attack, resulting in emergency room admission.Since NORML promotes RESPONSIBLE marijuana use, wouldn't it be good for the organization to make the public aware that this funny little TV gag of the unintentional marijuana overdose represents IRRESPONSIBLE marijuana use that is frowned upon by NORML?Just a thought. It's amazing that Americans find it so funny for someone to get high on marijuana by accident on TV, but still think it should be a crime to do so on purpose in the real world.

The concert was good and brought back old memories. I hope that Dennis Kucinich gets the nomination but I know the odds aren't in his favor. It would be very hard to vote for someone who you aren't sure would be the best man like Dean but realistically what choice would we have? I hope that if Dennis Kucinich doesn't get the nomination that he will get an important appointment if the Dems win. It will be hard to unseat Bush it seems even though I have no idea why it would be hard.

And the bewildered herd is still believingEverything we’ve been told from our birthHell they won’t lie to meNot on my own damn TVBut how much is a liar's word worthAnd whatever happened to peace on earth--So I guess it’s justDo unto others before they do it to youLet’s just kill em’ all and let God sort em’ outIs this what God wants us to do--(Repeat Bridge)

Willie Nelson will not release his song
Willie says he does not want the hassle that would come with releasing his song he sang Saturday in Austin- http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=102&topic_id=302399On the ONDCP ads at the New York Times. I actually look at it as a bribe. They are not going to change the mind of anyone that has broken out of the box. There is also a factor that you do not hear in the press on Bush fatigue. People will just get tired of trying to defend him and his ways as the assaults are justified and keep on coming. There is going to come a fatigue that people develop from all of these ads and everytime they see one they will think how the press is bribed and taxpayer money wasted while they raise sales taxes and property taxes. Sales Tax in NC is 7% which is unbelievable considering the huge sums of FICA and income taxes taken out of a pay check.People will tune out to the ONDCP ads and just see red. The Washington Post has a messageboard too. I wonder if they get taxpayer money to advance the lies of prohibition. The country has been in hell for some time and now the handbaskets are burning. We are all hot and smokey. How long can this crap continue?

AMERICAN INDIAN LAW REVIEW ON INDUSTRIAL HEMP
A couple of Fridays ago, I personally delivered the 2002-2003 American Indian Law Review law review with the Industrial Hemp article, to Congressman Frank Pallone's "Legislative Office", on Church Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey. The smoking hot looking dark skinned young lady with the British accent said she would send it to Congressman Frank Pallone's Long Branch, N.J., branch office for him to read it. Some two or three years ago, I gave my brand spanking new book entitled DEFRAUDING AMERICA, by Rodney Stich (I am unsure offhand of the spelling of his last name. Perhaps Stitch?), another book authored by Mr. Stich, a book about George Herbert Walker Bush, to "Jim", of Congressman Frank Pallone's "Legislative Office", on Church Street, New Brunswick, N.J.. Nobody sent me any letter as feedback concerning the books.I am hoping Congressman Frank Pallone reads the law review article! He is the only member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee representing the people of New Jersey!!Richard Paul Zuckerman, Box 159, Metuchen, New Jersey, 08840-0159, (Cell telephone number)(908) 403-6990, richardzuckerman2002 yahoo.com; www.aclu-nj.org; www.normlnj.org; www.norml.org; www.fija.org; www.jpfo.org; www.GreenParty.org.

New ONDCP feature at the NYT forums?
If you make posts in their forums about pot, anti-pot ads from the Bushadmin will begin to appear in the ad section of the page.

I'm with you Virgil
I have not paid for a newsdiaper (paper) in years. In fact I have bought about 5 issues in my life (when I was looking for a job). Yet they keep calling and sending junk mail and sometimes delivering free newspapers.
This year, I am cutting the cable line...Screw Time Warner, Comcast, and all the other pay for propaganda providors.

Imparitive that Dennis Kucinich be on this Show
With only one clear choice for President of the Free World it is a crying shame that Dennis stance on Cannabis Regulation has been kept so secret in USA Press. Way to go Norml .
Side note we will be doing a hour live cable access show on Med issue here in MI on Jan 19 and now maybe Allen will call in and tell us about his new show.

It really is great
The event is another mile marker on the road to freedom. I have noticed that the snicker factor is gone when I comment on cannabis at DU. People that read DU see that it so ingrained in culture and acceptance that it is not going away. The truth has been dripping through the roof of the CP house for some time. They now have a problem with the floor rotting. I wonder how many households with how many people now are online. The networks for sharing the real stories of the day are morphing and now the Fantasyland Five are really looking bad in many peoples eyes. I particularly wonder about newspaper sales. Why would people walk out into the cold and pay for a paper that claims to deliver news when it is more an advertising paper? I did not buy one advertising paper all last year and I will not be so lonely in the deed this year. This is a big deal. I will have to tell the people at DU and HempCity. Our national brain is regrowing connections after a serious stroke.
