Expect more misinformation, obfuscation and procrastination as Lockyer, Vasconcellos and a couple of big time protected pot dealers ignore Proposition 215 and instead of meaningful legislation to enable distribution, like a sales bill, watch for a lot more stalling combined with a serious attack on the 250,000 eligible patient cultivators in California.
This is the third year of Vasconcello's do-nothing-for-the-patients and keep-the-prison-guards-and-narcs-happy-happy-happy delay tactics! Watch as Lockyer continues to misinterpret and misinform the public about Prop 215, while he refuses to talk to it's author, Dennis Peron. If Prop 215 conflicts with federal law, then why did the California Supreme Court rule on November 6, 1998 that state cops can't cite federal law as a reason to refuse to return medical marijuana to California patients? And how 'bout the doctrine of medical necessity, Mr. Lockyer. Or does Mr. Lockyer believe that the federal courts are going to uphold that garbage about "federal law is absolute" " (that only the DEA would even try to claim) against an AIDS patient growing their own pot to prevent the wasting syndrome or a cancer patient growing their own pot to help survive chemotherapy?Forget it.Even Reinquist (check spelling) will see it our way, trust me, the guy is human. So why does Bill Lockyer and John Vasconcello's continue to lie and manipulate democracy? 'Cause they are addicted to Police Money like the rest of the state legislature, that's why we had to do the initiative in the first place.Sorry to rant but this is serious, we need a sales bill, not a patient registry, we need action last year!JE in Lake County. The link below is the article mentioned:http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread1739.shtml
