I just want to explain something about this class action lawsuit. It is completely grassroots, no funding, no big money investors.
I signed on to this historical suit because I've got children who have, and grandchildren who may, inherit my medical problems and they deserve the right to find relief anywhere it is available. Not in another lifetime, NOW!I've noticed a useless pattern that will never end with legal use unless we actively and passionately force it. We've been following the same vicious cycle they ran us through in the 80's when the IOM did their first report and we thought all the proof would convince the czar, NIDA, HHS, FDA, DEA, etc. that they had no reason to be locking us up for marijuana. 1999:Here we are again. Deja Vu.You know why we haven't had the power needed to get this work completed?Because, (1) hemp activists try to disassociate from the rest of marijuana's uses: They'd let the medicine disappear just to keep from acknowledging that hemp and marijuana are all the same plant. (2) Because those who know that it's recreationally a gentler choice over alcohol won't speak up, and that leaves the most urgent fronts of this war to the patients, many of whom are already imprisoned. It has fallen to the weakest among us to fight for the research, the medical acceptance, the lifting of the ban on the plant. For the industrialist, its only a matter of money; for the toker its not yet a necessity; but for the person in pain, its a quality of life and cannot be given up quietly. In our pain, we have found the depths of the wonders of this plant.I've see enough harm and I'm done. No more smiling in their lying faces, praying if I'm polite, if I play the game, they'll fix the mess; Hoping if I make enough sense, they'll quit arresting peaceful people; Offering them education they already know.No more begging, no more standing silent while they call me a liar. NO MORE!I do not ask for a doctor's permission. First, doctors have let me and mine down far too often. They work too closely with the pill-pushers to suit me. I let them experiment on me for seven years and I'm the one that found my own relief.Second, I already know what helps me, I know how it helps me, and I know when it helps me. I've done my own research, and I don't need a doctor to say that marijuana makes me feel better.Third, this is a medicine cabinet medicine, so safe compared to the legal medications. We're not talking about morphine here, we're talking about non-toxic, non-addictive pot.Fourth, I do not want to use government marijuana: I do not trust their methods nor their motives. They don't grow medicine they grow garbage. I want to grow my own. I just want to plant a seed and take care of it, the way God intended. It's best for my spirit.I don't want their inhalers in my nose, their pills on my tongue, nor their suppositories in my ass, just so they can make money off my pain. Excuse me, but they have already proven they don't have my best interests in mind. So, I am mad as hell, and although this lawsuit may turn out to be just another kick in the knee, David slew Goliath in just such a way. And I'll keep kicking them until they go down.I won't beg them for anything, but I'm asking you for support. If you are a person who finds any relief from marijuana, join the lawsuit. It's only a one time fee of $35 and you get so much in return. If you aren't yet sick, pay a patient's way. Support us with any donation you can afford. Send us postage stamps. Endorse us. Offer your services. These marijuana laws are in such violent conflict with common sense and compassion that they must be changed before they hurt another million or so people. One day you or someone you care about could have to make the choice: Prison or Pain?Thank you for listening.Kay LeeEND PROHIBITION NOWhttp://www.zyworld.com/kay~lee/home.htm
