You're kidding right FOM!
I'm a Cancer (the word means growth) too! I thought your husband, being a truck driver, would be a Sag! Cancer is the sign of containers, and they do have a home in the back of the cab! I am so happy for you, as Cancers' and Scorpios' are the best combo of the Zodiac, period! Of course, Cancer men are moody, sensitive, over-protective, and nurturing. Just what a Scorpio needs! (not all the time though). Well FOM, that just makes my day! Just to know you're with the right person for you, and vice versa! I have Sag Rising and always thought I'd be a truck driver, but my brothers took that path, so I chose music and counseling. Lots of freedom in those choices too!
Looks like you found your lifetime partner! Congratulations! (You're stuck with him, as he is what they call a 'happy Camper/Cancer)! Thanks for telling me his sign, you're the best!

Dan what is Bush going to do about Russia now? Honestly, I have no idea. I don't know if he has even considered Russia at this point. The last I heard on the subject is the article I read which said that Russia made a $40 billion economic pact with Iraq (see the link below). If I read anything else, I'll keep you posted. Dan B

Cannabis is my favorite...
then Lavender, then sage, I use them all, incense too, as they create positive responses in our brains, based on thousands of years of evolution. Everytime I go to a concert and see the reaction of thousands to the smell of cannabis alone, it warms my heart, as it is instinctive for humans to use cannabis, and all herb bearing fruits, first page of the Bible, just ask GCW!Peace!

Nuevo Mexican and The GCW
Thanks for the advice. My headaches gone. I had Hep B and don't like to take even aspirin if I can avoid it but I know your right that excedrin works. Nuevo Mexican are you into aromatherapy? I buy oils all the time. Basic ones though. Lavender and Eucalyptus and Tea Tree. I use lemon and there is one oil that is great for easing depression called Bergamot. http://www.naturaessentials.com/ne_puressentailoils.html

Cure for headaches:
FOM and anybody that suffers from headaches, take your right hand and massage the pressure point on your left hand, between the thumb and first finger, when you squeeze it, it will hurt in equal to your headache. Massage for 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off, then switch hands, its even better if your husband does it for you, until your headache is gone. This works, as I've relieved thousands. Water is also important, as it is natures finest elixer and you are a water sign to boot! Being ruled by Mars and Pluto, your system runs hot anyway, like a radiator that needs refilling, (my wife as well). Hope your headache is a thing of the past by the time you get this! It's acupressure! What sign is your husband, Sagitarius? Just wonderin!

goneposthole and Dan
I feel much better today. Thanks, I'll drink more water. I'm not good about drinking water. I put pure essential oil of eucalyptus on cotton balls and put them in my pillow case and the headache went away. The mold is so bad around here. It's been raining off and on for a day or two but the ground is so parched it doesn't even get into the ground. I don't see many birds around here anymore. It is strange. Dan what is Bush going to do about Russia now?

In Such an Ugly Time...
"Ah, but in such an ugly time, the true protest is beauty" -- Phil OchsWhere did you hear we started bombing Iraq? -- FoM The so called "No fly zones", established after the "Mother of all battles" in Iraq, during the Bush I regime, have been patrolled and regularly attacked, with little notice in the press, ever since the "end" of the conflict...The war in Iraq has never ended. When combined with the sanctions regime, the cost in civilian humanitarian terms is almost unfathomable.Even so, we must speak out against the the coming "War on Iraq", while I argue that it is, in reality, merely an escalation. We need to create beauty, love, community and compassion, as well as vigorous opposition to the forces of totalitarianism and fascism. And, I need to recharge my batteries.I'm getting ready to go to Burning Man. If you don't hear from me in the next couple of days, I'll be back Sept. 4.Anyone else going?

Agreed, FoM
You are right that it's not wise to take on Iraq--especially since they just signed a $40 billion economic pact with Russia, and you know that nuclear country is going to protect its investment. Bush is not just stupid, he is also maniacal, totalitarian, dictatorial, and a disgrace to not just America and Americans, but all of humanity. He and his administration are the cause of about 90% of the world's strife today (of course, we can't let all of his predecessors off the hook either, but I am speaking of his policies today, whether they are continuations of past policies or new ones). That's about all I can say right now, as the Imperial forces are likely monitoring us, and I'd hate to be arrested as an "enemy combatant" for my dissident views.Dan B

The article is from My locale paper on Fri.
p. A14Coalition planes strike Iraq air defense, U.S. military says.Washington --- Aircraft from the U.S.-British coalition patroling southern Iraq bombed two Iraqi air defense sites, the U.S. Central Command said. The attack on Wednesday with precision-guided weapons at about 5 p.m. EDT was a response to Iraqi actions threatening coalitions planes patroling the southern no fly zone, a Central Command statement said. In Iraq, an unidentified military spokesman said four civilians were injured in the attacks, the official Iraqi News Agency reported Thursday."The evil U.S. and British warplanes attacked residential areas and servise installations in Wasit and Missan provinces... Wednesday night," the spokesman said, according to the agency.

Bush is a bad bad dude.
The same people that oppose the, Symposium on Cannabinoids in Pain Management are the same ones who want to kill through out the plantet. They are the same people that have not told Us about the mass graves in Afghanistan, that they have known about, the whole year of 2002.Perhaps the public relations firm aquired to convince American citizens We should resume bombing in Iraq, would get more support to kill in Iraq if they did not know about the mass graves, that My country is implicated in.And now, I thought I read, they have already started bombing in Iraq.Perhaps Bush needs to bomb the banks in the area, that contain evidence of the Bush empire, using its money to help fund 911.

Indy - If you're out there
Here are links to a couple of Tests that assess your political views relative to Libertarian thought. Each can be taken with a grain of salt but you may find the results surprising. I did, enjoy! The first is more thorough and takes about 5 or 10 minutes. Results are given as a numerical score at the end with a brief explaination. (My score: 51)

Very important Newsweek Press Release
I submit this as relevant because it is an indication that the Evil Empire is really Evil. This press release came at 10:27AM Eastern and concerns hundreds of captured Afgans being shipped in sealed cargo containers and thusly killed: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/020818/nysu002a_1.htmlHere are a few copied paragraphs:
"Newsweek Cover Special Report: 'The War Crimes of Afghanistan' America's Afghan Allies Asphyxiated Hundreds of Surrendering Taliban Prisoners En Route to Jail, Transporting Them in Sealed Cargo Containers; Bodies Buried in Mass Grave ---- Witnesses Say U.S. Special Forces Were in The Area at the Time the Cargo Containers Were Delivered; But DOD Statement Says: 'No U.S. Troops Were Present Anywhere Near That Site in November' ---- Confidential U.N. Memo Says Mass Grave Findings Warrant 'Full-Fledged Criminal Investigation,' But Also Says Case is 'Politically Sensitive' and Probe Should Be Temporarily Halted ---- 'They Opened the Doors and the Dead Bodies Spilled Out Like Fish,' Says One Container Driver. 'All Their Clothes Were Ripped and Wet'""NEW YORK, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Last November, America's Afghan allies asphyxiated hundreds of surrendering Taliban prisoners by transporting them in sealed cargo containers en route to a prison in Northern Afghanistan and they buried them in a mass grave, according to reports by human rights organizations and eyewitness accounts. Newsweek's extensive inquiries of prisoners, truckdrivers, Afghan militiamen and local villagers, including interviews with survivors who licked and chewed each other's skin to stay alive, suggest also that many hundreds of people died. And while nothing that Newsweek learned suggests that American forces had advance knowledge of the killings, witnessed the prisoners being stuffed into the unventilated trucks, or were in a position to prevent that, they were in the area of the prison at the time the containers were delivered, although probably not when they were opened, report National Security Correspondent John Barry, Special Correspondent Babak Dehghanpisheh, and Diplomatic Correspondent Roy Gutman in the Aug. 26 issue (on newsstands Mon., Aug. 19)."1,2

Ethan and FoM --Thanks for the info! I have been busy forwarding it all the pain docs I know around here (and some elsewhere) and am also trying to get it to some of patient advocacy groups on pain. I think that's another area where the patients had to lead the charge. I'm also making arrangements to attend but it could be tough as DPA is doing their "Breaking the Chains: Race and the Drug War" thing in L.A. Sept. 26-28th.Mike (a/k/a "el_toonces)

My understanding that I got from Richard Cowan's commentary is that Ireland is not a signatory to the 1961 UN Single Convention theory that makes this news of a coffeeshop for Dublin all the more important: http://www.sundaylife.co.uk/news/story.jsp?story=3255591,2
