B.C. activists have begun spraying commuter ferries with the watered-down essence of marijuana in a plan to stymie police dogs sniffing for the illicit drug.Wednesday marked the first of several "spray days," said a spokesman for the B.C. Marijuana Party. That campaign of secretly spraying the decks of ferries, said Michael Cost, is the most effective way of throwing drug dogs off the scent of marijuana shipments.
The first covert operation occurred on a ferry travelling between Nanaimo, B.C., and Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, Mr. Cost told globeandmail.com Thursday. It's something of a preferred smuggling route, say local police, for marijuana growers on Vancouver Island looking to get their product to the mainland market.Exactly how many litres of a diluted THC solution — the active ingredient in marijuana — were sprayed, is a secret, said Mr. Cost. But that liquid, floated in an alcohol solution, was sprayed all over the ferry's deck and should overwhelm police dogs sent to ferret out marijuana stashed in the cars of commuters. The home-made cologne is so pervasive as to cast a marijuana haze over everything on the boat, said Mr. Cost. Police who have been searching for marijuana on the ferries will probably be fogged out, he said.It was on July 30 that West Vancouver Police led a battalion of pot-sniffing police dogs on a search of a ferry travelling the Nanaimo-Horseshoe Bay route. Those canines did, indeed, sniff out about eight kilograms of the drug hidden on board. Eight arrests resulted from that discovery. But, Constable Tim Dean told globeandmail.com Thursday, the actual car inspections occured after the ferry docked in Vancouver and search warrants had been issued.Still the police action is an invasion of privacy, said Mr. Cost, and just another example of the rights of B.C. citizens being sacrificed to the province's war on drugs."We will continue to spray the decks of ferries to protect citizens from an overzealous police force," said Mr. Cost, whose organization has actively lobbied provincial and federal governments for the "full legalization of marijuana."But the covert sprayings, while problematic, may not in fact be criminal, said Constable Dean."As far as the police are concerned this is all a publicity stunt," he said. "The spraying would only become a criminal offense if it did affect the dogs and if they were actually out on a search — its all very hypothetical now."What's much more certain, said Constable Dean, is that the hunt will continue for marijuana on the ferries travelling between Vancouver Island and the vast North American market. paying attention
Note that the cops say they wait until the ferry docks to do their dirty deeds.Like I mentioned before...it would be wise to spray in the stations at either end as well as the arrival/waiting lots of the ferry routes. If they are getting warrants based on sniffs conducted enroute, then there might also be some radio traffic that could be intercepted with a programmable scanner.

Good luck FF
If I was you, I totally kiss ass and suck up to the judge as hard as I possibly could. Do NOT express any kind of defiance or righteousness - most judges react in the extreme when people challenge the moral authority of the law.As far as the judge is concerned, he's there to enforce the laws currently on the books, that's it.Or, as Bob said, "Live to fight another day"

Beat your piss test Freedom Fighter
Maybe it would be better to quit smoking for awhile if you want to be really safe, but if you want to continue smoking two products the Urinator and the Whizzinator(spelling?, both have worked great for my friends. Basically they are electronic units that keep dehydrated or synthetic urine(included)at body temperature and allow you to take your test. One even has a fake dick so if they watch you close you're fine, the other has a plastic tube. Good luck and play it cool with your p.o don't piss them off.

What I'd Do
What would you do if you were in my shoes? I'm curious..Just say it was very interesting and that you learned alot, and you made lots of great friends. They are simply looking for evidence of an "attitude problem" (i.e. not showing proper contrition and a subservient attitude). As soon as you are out of their clutches, COMPLETELY out, then you can tell them what you think of them .(A letter to the editor is better still: people running programs like that are basically automatons with a vested interest; they will go to any length to NOT understand what you say.)

Dear Friends
From time to time, I have posted about my travel with the Diversion Hell! Well, today, I just got back from my "so-called" appointment. Most of you do know what had happened to me, but for those who do not know, I was busted after I told the Law that they could not turn my only son into a snitch. I was charged with a felony for growing ONE plant. Anyway, the good news so say my diversion officer, is that I will be release next month on Sept. 13 at 9am MST. It would be "after" the "meeting" with the Council. He stated that it might be a condition where I will be call in future for random "piss-fest" test. So, I wrote "Either you let me go NOW, or we can waste the taxpayer's money. I want to move out of the State." He went on to say that I could explain to the Council but I would have to tell when and where. So I asked, "What do I say?"(at the meeting). He answered, "Just answer the questions."Then he went on saying that these questions will be like,"What do you like about the Diversion progam?"
"What do you do not like about the Diversion program?"My question to you my dear friends, is what do I say? How do I answer this question, "What do I like about the d-bs program?".Should I say?,"I don't know."
Should I say?, "Oh, I like it because it does not put people in cages treated like animals for growing plants."
Should I say?, "I cannot in my good conscience answer any of your questions because I am an American."What would you do if you were in my shoes? I'm curious..Anyway, thanks for being here.. ff
