Mayor Brown takes on prostitution, drug dealing with policy like Oakland law! Vehicles used in drug buys or prostitution solicitation would be seized and sold under a plan launched by Mayor Willie Brown. In proposing the tough new policy Monday, Brown took particular aim at people who come into The City from out of town to buy drugs or sex. 
"We are sending a clear message that San Francisco is not the place to deal narcotics, and that we will not allow our city to become a drive-through heroin marketplace," he said during a meeting with law enforcement officials. The legislation is being carried by Supervisor Amos Brown, who introduced it Monday at the Board of Supervisors meeting. "We're going after users, whether they solicit prostitutes or controlled substances," Supervisor Brown said. "That's the difference" from what's been tried before.
