Expect new possession guidelines for medical marijuana patients and their providers by mid-July, said El Dorado County District Attorney Gary Lacy. Lacy, who is running for re-election this fall, and a sheriff's captain met with medical marijuana advocates in Placerville on Monday night for a third time to discuss how much pot would be too much for patients and caregivers, or pot providers, to possess."We have just about got guidelines for indoor and outdoor," Lacy said. "We're awaiting Dale Schafer's proposal that will apply to caregivers."
Schafer, an attorney and a losing candidate for district attorney in the March primary, said he expects to have his suggestions to Lacy on amounts for caregivers by Friday. He said his proposal will not ask law enforcement to allow more than 99 plants. Schafer, who also runs a medical marijuana clinic in the county with his wife, Dr. Molly Fry, said any number greater than 99 is asking for trouble from the federal government."At 100 plants, there is a federal sentencing guideline of five years in prison," he said. "I don't advise anybody to go over 99 plants. If you do, you better put a lot of money away for an attorney and put your affairs in order cause you're going to prison."Source: Tahoe Daily Tribune (CA)Author: Gregory CroftonPublished: June 19, 2002Copyright: 2002 Tahoe-Carson Area Newspapers Contact: tribune tahoe.com Website: http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/Related Articles & Web Site:Medical Marijuana Information Linkshttp://freedomtoexhale.com/medical.htmMedical Pot on The Meeting Menu http://cannabisnews.com/news/thread13043.shtmlWar on Pot is a Raid on States' Rightshttp://cannabisnews.com/news/thread11553.shtml Judge Rules Couple's Files from Raid Not Protectedhttp://cannabisnews.com/news/thread11181.shtml

What Bush said today promoting health and fitness
Here's what Bush said today when he was promoting physical fitness at a race in which he did rather well:It's important for those of us in the White House to live how we talk," Bush said. "If we're going to say we're going to live a healthy life, let's do it. If we say we care about a neighbor in need, we want to love a neighbor like we'd like to be loved ourselves, let's show it through our actions."
Now compare with this:http://www.vasilisa.com/LACRC/photos.htmland this:He said his proposal will not ask law enforcement to allow more than 99 plants. If you do, you better put a lot of money away for an attorney and put your affairs in order cause you're going to prison."Well, they do have exercise yards in prison. Maybe Bush could arrange a fitness promotional event there too.
