CARSON CITY Nevada is either the best or the worst state in the country when it comes to laws governing the possession of small amounts of marijuana. The state has the toughest pot laws in the country. Possession of any amount is a felony.
But only a handful of Nevada's prison inmates are locked up on marijuana charges -- an indication that few Nevadans use marijuana -- or that hardly anyone enforces those tough laws. ``Depending on your point of view, you're either at the top or the bottom,'' said Paul Armentano, communications director for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. Only two states consider possession of small amounts of marijuana a felony punishable by as much as four years in prison -- Nevada and Arkansas. And Nevada is tougher on first-time offenders than Arkansas, at least on the books. Nevada's law makes the first-time offense for possessing any amount of marijuana a felony punishable by between one and four years of jail and a $5,000 fine. Marijuana Use
I think the Marijuana Laws have now out grown themselves. If you know the TRUE HISTORY of why it was made illegal in the first place it would really get ya!!! People have been smoking and eating this herb before Christ walked the earth. He probably smoked it himself, if you didn't you were a FREAK!! It was and is still used in many cultures world wide, from spiritual to pleasure. I lived through the sixty's and all the people I used to smoke with are all, I mean all President's of major Corporations and company's that they started themselves. People act as if you'll be brain dead after smoking Pot, WAKE UP!!! Just like Prohibition didn't work neither will this anylonger. Billion's of people smoke pot and no one know's who they are except for friends and the people that thier FORCED to buy from. This law is stupid and waistful of our taxes to enforce. Making it against the law has never made it less appealing, if anything it has made it more!!!!!!

not sure
I dont know about any of the details of Nevadas legal developments, but I think thebest policy,is to expect to get busted, and thrown in jail. After that, expectto be involved in an absurd legal battle.I think hiding and sneaking is still be the best way to enjoy herbal relaxation, andcultivation.Laws dont mean that much anymore, unless they are the laws that the busters are using on the 'bustees'.
