VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIADrug War fugitive Renee Danielle Boje, ]29, has a long and winding legal road ahead of her. The road could lead to Boje being extradited from Canada to face federal marijuana charges in California which carry a mandatory-minimum sentence of ten years to life, for her alleged 1997 involvement with aspiring Los Angeles medical-pot providers Peter McWilliams and Todd McCormick.
Or it could end in Boje receiving refugee status in the rather-more-tolerant Great Green North.Boje is currently living in a rural area of British Columbia, two hours from Vancouver, where she spends her days consulting with lawyers and medical-marijuana activists, and working to raise the estimated $30,000 US she will need to pay her legal team. If her refugee claim fails, and Canada elects to send her back to Los Angeles, she will face charges of conspiracy, cultivation of marijuana, possession, and intent to distribute.Peter McWilliam's Medical Marijuana Magazine!http://www.marijuanamagazine.com/Todd McCormick's Grow Medicine.comhttp://growmedicine.com/Danielle Boje Articlehttp://www.hightimes.com/ht/new/9904/medicalpot.htmlClick the above link to read the full story!

Thanks So Much, FoM, for your Kind Words.:)
Yes, Hi, FoM...I did see your very kind "inspirational" words to me [*thanks*] - over at your brand new MMM - News May Day Web Site, which you just created for Tom Paine, et al. I really appreciate your kind words, FoM. I have to go now and take a break and "join the party" (or, at least put in a brief appearance), and put my empty to dryer and put my clothes away, etc.:) FoM, though my brain it trying to "flat-line" and words fail me now, please accept my very sincere thanks for your very kind words to (and about...) me. FoM, I hope you won't mind, but I placed the post I left on the http://www.cannabis.com Politics Board to you, below. I was going to just leave the URL to my message to you, but then I thought that by pasting the entire message below, I might make it "stay around" longer, before it is archived on the Politics Board. Again, FoM, I hope you don't mind, AND thank you every so kindly for your kind words of praise and... "inspiration," for me, too. FoM... really, I didn't know I was an inspriration to you, but I am honored to hear that I am. Thank you, FoM. [Frankly, FoM your stamina, drive and determination really impress me, (as I feel your activist abilities greatly exceed my capabilities.)]Well, thanks again, FoM. I don't know when I'll next be able to say "hello", so I hope you will understand, if I'm absent for a while. BTW, I was really hoping that Alun Buffry might send me some more MMM News, so I could give it to you and the others, but, he did not. Oh, FoM!!! My wee, little brain just had a wee little storm.:) I can email Alun Buffry the link to your (and ours, now..:) MMM News May Day Web Page, and he can help get the good words out, which the governments and the 'press' don't want given out. I hope I'll get a chance to do this. Hmmm... May be now, I can do this? [It occurrs to me that maybe the reason I got no "news" from Alun today, is because he is on "vacation" He usually takes at least one day off each weekend.]Well, thanks again, FoM. You've really given me a happy surprise and a very nice gift. I'm humbled, FoM. Thanks.Until later, then, FoM... take care and take care of yourself, too.Very appreciatively yours,Pat.Ps: Great FoM, about Ron's anticipated improvement(s), to this very fine, http://www.cannabisnews.com web site. I'm very glad to here this good news....http://www.cannabinoid.com/wwwboard/politics/messages/10684.shtmlRe: Million Marijuana March News Web Site!Posted by Pat on May 08, 1999 at 16:09:30 PT:In Reply to: Million Marijuana March News Web Site! posted by FoM on May 08, 1999 at 15:19:11 PT:Many, many thanks, *FoM* (& Ron Bennett, Tom Paine, Dana Beal sp?, Alun Buffry, cryote, DdC, Mota20, oldlady#420, etc., ETC.)Hey, FoM, thanks for creating this special MMM News May Day Web Page. I think it's just what Tom Paine was hoping for... and, DdC is right about next year... BUT, hopefully, next year's marches will be so large that the "main stream" press won't be ABLE to ignore them, as they did this year.FoM, the principle reason I wanted to make this post, however... was, and is... to thank you for your very kind words to me, which you placed at this very fine May Day [MMM-News] May Day Web Page, you just created. Gee, FoM, I'm not sure I deserve all your kind words, but I'll try to accept them gracefully, in the spirit that you gave them to me. (If I don't deserve them all now, I hope that someday I may....) FoM, your very kind words do indeed, soothe my weary body, mind and spirit; thanks so much for them, FoM! ... Gee, FoM, I think there is something else I wanted to say, too, but it just slipped away, because I'm tired now.... (Also, we're about to eat ~fresh Gulf Shrimp, which are put on a stick with pieces of peppers, onions, etc. and fried out on our patio grill, and our visitors' four legged friend is running back and forth, etc., so it's kind of hectic here now.)Well, FoM, I'm sorry that I lost my train of thought and creative muse, so to speak - I'm pretty sure there was another "little" thing or two, that I wanted to say to you. Btw, FoM, I just came from http://www.cannabisnews.com and left you a brief note at the story about Peter McWilliams' friend, Rene D. Boje, who if fighting to stay in Cannada. FoM, I was just really thinking of you, and I almost signed your (?) guest book, over at http://www.cannabisnews.com , but decided not to, because of our company and my sore back and neck, etc. Ok, FoM, (and friends...), I'm sorry to take up so much space and time here, but I really did want to thank you, FoM, for your very kind words to me, at the brand new MMM-News May Day Web Page you just created for us all... AND... too, for your other kind words to me, elsewhere.FoM, a BuMpY Road is more easily traveled with the kindness of a good friend's warm words of help and support. Thank you, FoM, for giving me yours.:)Pat.

Hi FoM et al. - Just Dropped it to say 'HIGH.'
Hi FoM,thanks for your continued good job. My folks are here to visit for awhile, so I'm just dropping bye to say high. FoM, I had never heard of the poor woman, who is now in the sights of some of the biggest bullys around (imo, hey, some of these folks may consider themselves to be good people, etc.....) (IMO)... only bullies would attack a sick man like Peter McWilliams, who has cancer, AIDS and may (very well) be dying, *and* his friends, etc. I don't know how these vindictive folks can live with themselves, or sleep at night. Maybe they just enjoy being bullies? .... ....Hey FoM, I had an idea for this site, which may improve things (but may add to the cost, etc.....) You know how the "old" news "disappears" after a few days or so, well, I think it would be very nice if we could have a link (or group of links, etc.) which would allow one to STILL see the "older" news, as it was, when you first posted it here. I think that would be real nice, but, it would probably be ~lots of work to accomplish, and it may cost some (server space) bucks, etc. Well, FoM, I hope you don't mind me mentioning this "idea", while it's on my mind. Thanks, FoM, please watch the bumps, etc.Pat.Ps: FoM, there's a high probability that I won't get to see any reply you might leave me here, so...:)
