Howard Marks - Clapham Common, May 1st, 1999At least 10% of the entire population of Europe take cannabis. More people take cannabis than regularly go to church. God bless them. At least two thirds of all British voters under 25 take cannabis.
There are thousands of British doctors who have no problems prescribing cannabis. There are thousands of unfortunate souls whose suffering is relieved by cannabis. There are thousands of British policemen who want to help kids, not bust them. There are hundreds of British policemen who want to help kids, not bust them. There are hundreds of British judges who can't bear the ethical conflict they face when sentencing cannabis users. There are millions of British parents who can no longer stand their kids being criminalised, stigmatised, and ruined for life. There are millions of kids who wished they didn't have to lie.A pity this government doesn't feel the same. This government callously allows youth to be alienated, poisoned, imprisoned, and ruined. This government stupidly forces itself to lie and arrogantly disapproves of the recreational pursuits of millions of really good people. This government has deaf ears, blind eyes, an unthinking brain, and an unfeeling heart. This government is offensive. What does this government suggest? What new wonderful initiatives, innovations, and wisdom does it care to bestow?Prohibition and zero tolerance.http://www.schmoo.co.uk/london#Anchorhm

THE LAW AND THE WEED
THE HERB WAS PUT ON THIS PLANET BEFORE ANY LAWS SO WHY WON`T THEY LEGALIZE IT. IT ISN`T AS IF THEY AREN`T GOING TO PUT TAX ON IT LIKE CIGGIES BUT WHY TAX IT WE STILL HAVE TO PAY TAX ON THE CIGGIES SO THE GOVERMENT WOULD GET TWO LOT OF TAXES.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MR.MARKS MUCH RESPECT!

hi howard, saw u last year and it was a great evening.a joint has many good sides and not as many down sides as cigs or booze but the government wont be able to collect as much tax from it if it legallised as they would from ciggies and booze,so it wont be legallised because they cant afford the loss in tax.keep on smiling.lol.

if you do read this howard id just like to say that i find it hard to belive that dope is made by guys jumping on the end of a huge pestel and then they wrap it in goat skin. if this is true so be it who am i to say if for some reason you cant publish the way they make it for legal reasons then you could have made somthing a little more convincing. but at the end of the day who cares as long as it smokes. well done fella and if your in the area drop a line . chris from liverpool

weed
having returned from Amsterdam less than a week ago i have decided that we do smoke lots of bunk weed here in da UK. what came first, the law or the marijuana plant? I believe that smokin' weed is an essential part of life. unless you don't want to do it. in which case, i don't mind. why is it that drinking is tolerated although it causes violence, loss of life, alcoholism and family break up, yet i can smoke a spliff of the class "b for bunk" weed we get here and be arrested? Weird eh?p.s Mr Marks, i got an ounce of the widow back from the dam wrapped in film in my suitcase and because my luggage was lost, whilst sat at home with my mates, i got my suitcase delivered to my front door complete with ounce by the airport courier. nice eh?

howard marks is an icon, he is an inspiration to the younger generation and an idol to the British youth, Cannabis is our birthright and my welsh heritage is owed to but one man, Mr Nice himself.

LIFE LIBERTY and the pursuit of HAPPINESS
I do not know if you are "the" Howard Marks. If you are congratulations on your physical and spiritual freedom. Sadly so many others are trapped in mental and physical prisons. I work every day to try and free my friend Billy Greer (he knows you) from his physical one. I think the global tide has turned. We must increase our efforts to prevent a roll back in the progress that has been made. Unward and upward. Bye Bob
