An "Unalienable or Inalienable Right" to the pursuit of "Happiness?" How can this be when so many tens of millions of Americans are secretly suffering with untreated "intractable pain" to the point of "torture" causing large numbers of suicides each year? And there are 17,000 more deaths due to the bleeding complications of NSAIDS, because doctors are afraid to provide 'real' pain medicine instead.
All this hidden death and suffering is because the DEA and some State Medical Boards are quietly blocking pain control, while the nation is ignorant of this horrific Genocide! They are arms of the very government that "guarantees" us the freedom from pain that narcotic medication once brought America, so why and HOW are they violating our Human Rights and own drug laws such as the "Controlled Substances Act," the Constitution, and our Bill of Rights? They all make it clear that Intractable Pain Patients should have whatever they need for pain control, yet it just isn't happening while the media supports this secret genocide by its continued conspiracy of silence. Non-Cancer Pain Patients know it is nearly impossible to find a doctor to treat their pain yet the public has no idea this is going on. Over half the cancer patients can't get what they need. Just today I heard of two more suicides over under treated pain yet "the news" will not carry these deaths. If we lose the right for doctors to treat pain entirely, we will lose the country. Families see loved ones die in agony each day because doctors are afraid to control the suffering for fear they will lose their license, or worse yet, get thrown into jail like Dr. Fisher did in California. Why then is the media, said by Thomas Jefferson to be our greatest protection against Tyranny, silent in this crisis? Whoever is controlling the Drug War madness, must also be controlling the media so write your Congressman asking for Hearings into the under treatment of pain today.Click the above link to visit American Society for Action on Pain's Web Site!
