Letter to the editior!

Editor Your April 25 editorial, ``Marijuana as Medicine, Let's Make the Law Work,'' is on target about medical marijuana, but where did you get the notion that marijuana shouldn't be used for recreation? Is marijuana somehow worse for recreation than alcohol, tobacco, sex, gambling, hunting, or any of the other myriad legal vices?
While we strive to implement Proposition 215, we should not overlook the fact that Californians are currently spending a record amount to arrest, persecute and imprison non-medical users, to no evident useful effect. By relaxing the absurd legal taboos against private adult use of marijuana, the enforcement difficulties regarding medical use would be virtually eliminated. He Does Bless Us!
Yes He will bless us and He already does for what we are doing! We want to free and help the imprisoned too! I don't want to be responsible for not helping the oppressed!

Genesis, day 3
Day Three"And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so... Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so."(Gen. 1:9,11 NIV)Arnie and Peter: Does this look familiar? Certainly should.Where does it say ANYWHERE in the bible that Satan created "weed". It doesn't, and you know it. God put all plants here, and it's are responsibility to use them for good or bad. Our choice. If you choose not to eat broccoli, fine. If I choose to grow marijuana, fine. When I die, I'm positive God will bless me for my efforts, as I know in my heart what I do is right and good. You need to find a different topic for your erroneous blither. You could do more good by joining MADD. Below is the URL.Dr. Ganj

Genesis 1:29 Don't you read your bible?
Genesis 1:29: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

Satan's weed
I couldn't agree more, Arnie. Marijuana is the work of Satan, and all of its addicts will sooner or later see that they are destoying not only their minds, but their souls as well. God will, and should, punish those that promote Satan's weed.

marijuana brain cancer
All you drug pushers out there should be locked up for good. You push marijuana and the legalization of dangerous drugs, many of which are known to correlate with the onset of cancer cells in the brain. Puff like a hippie today, die like a rat tommorow.

 Recreational marijuana useage
Dale Gieringer, director of California NORML, also spoke yesterday at the Million Marijuana March in San Francisco. His speech included the fact that although Prop 215 protects medical marijuana users from legal prosecution, for the thousands of other marijuana consumers it still remains illegal, at a tremendous cost to the taxpayers. We must also consider the loss of productivity when someone is jailed on a marijuana related offense. The family unit is also broken, and that causes further damage, both financially, and emotionally.I'd like to point another fact out too. While at the march yesterday, I thought about the prohibition of alcohol. That lasted from 1920-1933. That's thirteen years! So, could you see a rally in 1932, where thousands of people gathered trying to get alcohol legalized, and passing beer, wine, whiskey all around chanting; "We want our booze! We want our booze!". How many people would pass out? How many fights would occur? They certainly couldn't have said we want "medical alcohol" either. The point I'm making is we had thousands of people, all sharing their joints and pipeloads of fine marijuana, and all was mellow. The cops watched on, and they knew it was cool. No fights, no slobbering drunks. Just a large crowd of nice people smoking a pleasant herb, asking for their right to use it. How nice it will be when we can all get a bong.Cheers,Dr. Ganj
