Posted by FoM on April 21, 1999 at 10:46:57 PT Source: LA Times AGOURA HILLS Police raided the home of an Agoura Hills woman Monday, seizing dozens of marijuana plants and taking more than $20,000 worth of equipment used in their cultivation. "They received complaints regarding the growth of marijuana at that location," said Deputy Steve Sciacca of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department headquarters in Monterey Park. "They recovered some marijuana, marijuana plants and equipment used in the cultivation of marijuana." Narcotics agents did not arrest Andrea Nagy, 29, a legal secretary who said she was growing the pot so she and her mother could use it for medicinal purposes. Robbing someone is not a victimless crime, as the 'robbee' is the victim, the 'robber' the perpetrator. Growing or using marijuana for medicinal purposes IS a victimless 'crime'. No one is violating anyone elses rights, or harming anyone else but themselves (if you believe that marijuana harms people, that is).
