Brownie Mary, whose indomitable spirit and baked goods spiked with marijuana endeared her to the hundreds of AIDS patients she called her "kids," was honored Saturday night with a candlelight vigil in the Castro.
About 300 people jammed Castro Street off 18th and listened to 90 minutes of Brownie Mary stories from some of the people who knew her best. Some in the crowd held candles. Some carried a framed photograph of her wearing a lei of faux marijuana leaves and an innocent smile. Please click above link for complete article!

You were like a grandmother to me. There will never be anyone else like you in my life and I will miss you terribly. Meeting you made me feel complete and whole. No one else will ever touch the lives of those afflicted as you did. You, Mary, are what life is about! I'll love you forever. Thank you. Love, Lynne (& Tracy)

Her Spirit Lives On!
Good Morning Dr. Ganj,May everything good go with you in whatever you do! You are an inspiration to me! Please let us know how the day goes! Nothing is worthwhile unless it is hard to achieve! I bookmarked Chris Conrad's Page and I'll put it on mine too!I put Californian's for Compassionate Use on my Medical Marijuana page last night!( Don't know how I missed it before this) I'll tell you a short story about Californian's for Compassionate Use. I got my first computer in the fall of 96 and their web site was the most inspirational and comforting page I went too. I even sent them an email and told them how much their web site helped me that very difficult year! Good always wins! Stay safe! Keep on keepin on! Peace, FoM!

FoM...What a terrific page you set up! I'm sure she would be so happy to see it! There's a saying in life that goes something like this:"Life's not worth living, unless you do something you're willing to risk your life for" I'm sure she knew this, and all the while, she just kept giving. There's a lot to be learned here, folks. Let us all try to do our part.See you at the capitol tomorrow. We are getting closer.Dr. Ganj

Dr. Ganj,Hello and I know she is watching over us! I haven't been feeling very encouraged and when I started working on her little tribute page it gave me strength to go on. I am putting Mary's tribute on my medical marijuana page so I never forget her good deeds! She gave love to those that needed love the most and gave it unconditionally! Peace, FoM!
