 Darryl Strawberry's arrest on a cocaine possession charge is not the first time he's been linked with a controlled substance.
Major league baseball suspended the outfielder for 60 days in 1995 after he tested positive for cocaine. The previous year, he entered the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, and spent four weeks undergoing treatment for a substance abuse problem.Tampa police say the 37-year-old Strawberry was arrested late Wednesday after he allegedly solicited an undercover officer for sex. Upon being searched, the officer found three-tenths of a gram of powder cocaine inside Strawberry's wallet. Strawberry was also charged with soliciting a prostitute.He was released on $6,000 bond early Thursday morning.
