Spokane Sheriff's detectives arrested a Spokane Municipal Court clerk at work Tuesday after her identification badge was found in the basement of a home filled with marijuana plants.
Amanda R. Davis, 21, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of marijuana cultivation.Her duties at the court include scheduling criminal cases for trial, detectives said.Davis was one of five people arrested after a sheriff's SWAT team raided a house at 28108 N. Jackson Rd., northwest of Mount Spokane.Capping a lengthy narcotics investigation, investigators entered the home at 10:30 a.m., detectives said.The SWAT team was called in because the home had metal security doors and steel bars on the windows. The residents also have a history of resisting police and intimidating people with weapons, detectives said.Detectives said they seized 164 marijuana plants and indoor growing equipment. The plants, which were nearly full-grown, had a street value of about $250,000.Bruce S. Cline, 48, Scott T. Jones, 26, Ross E. Anderson, 25, and Jeremiah Baker, age unavailable, were arrested at the home.Cline, Jones and Anderson were booked into the jail on charges of marijuana cultivation.Baker was cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and released.
