Good news from our neighbors up north!

Medicinal pot users say they weren't blowing smoke when they claimed most Canadians support their cause - now they have the numbers to prove it.
A recent Decima poll showed 78% of Canadians support the use of marijuana for medical treatment. Just 18% of respondents opposed it. The study is considered accurate within plus or minus 2.1%, 19 times out of 20."More than anything it says (the idea) is more popular than any of the political parties. They're lucky to get 40% support," said Amanda Stewart, director of the Cannabis Re-legalization Society of Alberta. The above link will give you the complete article!

Benefits linked to naseau and irritable bowel synd
I began having irritable bowel syndrome soon after incredible amounts of stress had taken their toll. I was and had been a smoker since I was a teen. However was no gateway drug for me. I am very intolerant of chemical drugs of any kind. Can't take prescribed meds either.Even tried to talk to M.D. about it and how that only marijuana would stop the 4-7 bms I was having every morning. It was costing me time-- (45 minutes to at least 1hour every morning, not to mention the discomfort). And sometimes after eating lunch I could not stay out of the bathroom. I am not at all a large woman. Average to athletic in build. Overall healthy except for my over-effiecient digestive system. The only thing that stops this problem for me, which gets worse at times causing severe stomach cramping, is marijuana. I would like to mention here my vitals,( b.p., resting heart rate as well as eyesight are that of someone half my age). As stated previously, I have tried medications; prescribed as well as over-the-counter for the irr. bowel problem. They all made me more nauseous and dizzy and less able to concentrate on my job, than taking a few puffs after lunch, and in the mornings. The meds were awful. And alcohol is definitely a no-no for someone with a sensitive stomach; although it is legal. As someone else stated, "marijuana has been around for a long time" and was a legal drug not very long ago, and is a God-given natural plant." Marijuana has many other benefits as well. Many have positive economic ramifications: Paper, oil, taxes and monitoring, and etc. Would you believe it's totally recyclabe? And a lot less damaging to our environment on this planet. The nations of this world are being ravaged due to deforestation. We know that some medicinal plants are being destroyed never to be analyed for thier benfits, due to this world wide rape for financial and short-sighted gain.
I would agree that marijuana has negative side effects. But doesn't any type of medication, not to mention the side effects of what we are putting into our food supply? As with everything we injest, there are side effects. But if any one out there knows if anyone has every died from liver damage due to only marijuana I would like to know.
