cannabis Six Hawai'i County Council members have been sued for allegedly violating the county's charter by continuing to fail to do a review of the county's marijuana enforcement program.

Roger Christie, a longtime marijuana advocate who filed the lawsuit Wednesday, had previously won part of a $75,000 out-of-court settlement for allegedly illegal enforcement actions.

The lawsuit named as defendants County Council Chairman Jimmy Arakaki and members Aaron Chung, Leningrad Elarionoff, Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd, Gary Safarik and Dominic Yagong. All are Democrats, except for Republican Elarionoff. He and Safarik are former police officers.

Christie is acting as his own attorney in the dispute.

Christie and others took the council to court in the past for allegedly not meeting the charter provisions that require audits of certain programs every four years.

No audit has been done with the marijuana eradication program, which involves federal money and use of helicopters.

Police opponents say an audit would show graft and waste in the program, which is conducted under a joint agreement between the county police vice squad and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

This suit did not involve Jonathan Adler of Puna, who is now running for governor, or Aaron Anderson, who with Christie received the out-of-court settlement from the council in August 2001.

Adler said yesterday he expected follow-up action to seek removal of the council members for knowingly violating the charter. Earlier efforts to impeach a former mayor and a majority of the council were denied by Big Island Circuit Judge Riki May Amano.

speaking for myself...
Dear Person,

Aloha from Hilo. It is my pleasure to advance the cause of cannabis liberation by suing some of those directly responsible for continuing the prohibition. It looks like 'the hook is set', and now the work commences in the court of public opinion, and in the court of law.

I want to make it clear that I am FOR a program review, I am NOT against the humanity of the individual defendants in this case. Bishop Tutu of South Africa said it well when he won the Nobel Prize for 'peace' ...

"People do bad things, but there is no such thing as a 'bad' person".

I feel the same way. I kind-of like the people I am suing. However, in their professional capacity they have gone WAY over the line and must be brought back into accountability for the horrific damage they have CAUSED over many years when they had knowledge of the harm that marijuana eradication was doing.

We do get the government we deserve. Be pro-active, or we lose our cannabis culture by default.

As far as I know, program reviews for marijuana eradication are not done in any jurisdictions...yet. I hope to see that they become commmonplace everywhere taxpayer funds have been spent on the delusional, costly and counter-productive program.

The thing to look for in any review is: any un-intended consequences of the program... such as:

a rise in the use of hard drugs and alcohol a rise in property crimes, drop-out rate, etc. etc.

* A personal note: I take full responsibility for bringing this lawsuit against the specific council members. I speak for myself, and other people do NOT speak for me. For example, see comment no. 7 below. I, Roger Christie, do NOT seek to put any police 'under our control' as Jonathan said I did. He speaks for himself ONLY.

We have a glorious future!

All the best to you and yours,

Roger

He hates us. (see story below)
Bush hates us.

He would only have to throw a couple more SWITCHES, in order to extend this policy, to confront cannabis users with this policy, when we speak out for cannabis.

Bush is in not only oil, but perhaps all natural resources. He is in oil; plants, through pharmaceutical interests; etc.

What about natural gas? We don’t hear much about natural gas these days... are they hoarding that too?

Will they use it against us, when they try again to gas us?

Would Bush and his leaders, exterminate Christ himself, for a buck, for false security, for sport, for fear, for greed, for it is already written. How about to take over a country?

Their course is in progress, now. This is no longer their time to line things up. The evil one has started their deed.

The sick mind involved may well be thinking how nice it will be, to live in America, once they have exterminated us.

The father of this son, stands for an authority of death and killing. He will be impatient to see this all take place.

It has all the feel of good against evil. According to John 14-16, there are those who love and those who hate.

Hey Jude. Hey Jude, before Revelations.

As I testify I live with the Holy Spirit of Truth, I testify Bush does not.

I testify that the Holy Spirit of Truth is available to Christians, who use cannabis and thank Our Father, accordingly.

Through the Holy Spirit of Truth, You can go directly to Our Father for the Truth.

"those who ask questions could face government
charges."

by Al Martin Scams Away: The Boom Is Falling From: http://www.almartinraw.com/column58.html

......The Bush Administration is now circling the wagons. Imagine the arrogance of Rumsfeld to say that those who ask any further questions may face government charges. Rumsfeld said -- Look at the homeland security act, the so-called USA Patriot Act, which very few people have read all the way through to the fine print... Bush further said that anyone who continues to ask questions is acting "unpatriotically," ...

...Rumsfeld said that anyone asking questions (referring specifically to congressional committees and the media) could be charged with giving aid and comfort to the enemy - if they attempt to question the motives of the administration with regards to its war on terrorism...

... . The White House was able to give them the bum's rush by going to all members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat, and saying, "You'll sign it, you'll sign it now, you won't take the time to read it, and if you refuse to sign it, we'll label you as being unpatriotic" - something which all members of Congress were frightened of....

...... Lieberman, Daschle and Gephardt wrote in a memorandum just released that Congress has effectively given the Bush Administration "near dictatorial powers." Lieberman then made a wise crack saying that, "You know, given a Bush, near dictatorial power is a recipe for disaster." And I doubt there would be many who would disagree with that....

......Steve Forbes, who probably understands that his political days are over, was also synopsizing the situation the way I did. If George Bush serves a second term, we will have a nation with a debt to GDP ratio of 236% and a debt service to budget ratio of 37%. We will also have an aggregate of $10 trillion, which the Reagan Bush Regime and the Bush II Regime cannot account for. This is ten trillion missing dollars, which the Reagan/Bush people and the Bush Junior People (which are all the same people) cannot account for. It's money that's "missing" from the Department of Defense, the Treasury Department, the Education Department, Social Security, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, etc. The list just goes on and on. This is ten trillion dollars, which the Reagan Bush/Bush Jr. people cannot account for. This is money, which will never be accounted for...... It should also be mentioned that the Federal Reserve reports (it's hard to find this information since you have to go to the Comptroller of the Currency) describes record outflows of money from the United States. It's money leaving the country from the so-called "Smart Republican Money Set," money that's leaving at record levels. Not only are the "Smart Republican Money Set" transferring their money out of the country into numbered offshore accounts, they are now beginning to expatriate themselves....

... In the last six months, a record number of American citizens with a net worth of over $100 million have become expatriates.......

GCWGCWGCWGCWGCWGCW

Coincidentally Pfizer announced that there is a record number of depressed people in the United States. The number of depressed people in the United Sates since George Bush Jr. has come to office has increased by 11%. And that is the reaction to the Bushonian form of government. In other words, the American people have given up.

The article to which you have linked is quite interesting. Of particular importance when reading that article is the knowledge that Bush told intelligence personnel to back off on their investigations of the bin Laden family in January of 2001, as is described in the following from Mike Ruppert's "Oh Lucy . . ." article on his From the Wilderness site:

7. January, 2001 - The Bush Administration orders the FBI and intelligence agencies to "back off" investigations involving the bin Laden family, including two of Osama bin Laden's relatives (Abdullah and Omar) who were living in Falls Church, VA - right next to CIA headquarters. This followed previous orders dating back to 1996, frustrating efforts to investigate the bin Laden family. [Source: BBC Newsnight, Correspondent Gregg Palast - Nov 7, 2001].

Thought I'd add a bit to the growing suspicions about Bush's foreknowledge. Readers, make what you will of this information.
